Today news: Fazio and Kolarov are part of Fonseca’s plans and won’t leave. Valencia are interested in Marcano and Cagliari in Defrel. West Ham are willing to offer 4M for Gonalons.
As a wise man once wrote: "I once ejaculated in 30 seconds with a girl. Then I put on my Marek Hamsik jersey and went for another 4 days straight. The girl is now a vegetable." Marek is God, Amen
Fazio will be back up hopefully. Its only suicide if you lose the ball 3 times a minute, if we control most of the possession their lack of speed won’t get exposed as much.
Yeah, everyone knows I'd sell their asses. But with how our mercato has started, I can see why they wanna keep dudes, atm. We've literally done nothing but sell Ponce for half-price, lol. Hopefully Manolas is finalized shortly.
yep.. Fazio keeps getting shit on here but after Claudio took over he was our best CB, IMO. I think too many people get hung up on speed where positioning is much more important. As you say, if you aren't turning the ball over cheaply time and again his speed isn't nearly as much of an issue. He's also great at defending balls in the air.
You know who. Rhymes with Juno. I wanna keep Florenzi, but that offer is kinda tempting I've gotta admit.
25 mil is a great offer and normally I'd jump. Sad reality is over the last 4-5 years we haven't been able to find even decent backup. I still have a bit of hope with Karsdorp but it's now or never this year.
I'm not worried about replacing Florenzi the fullback; I'm worried about replacing the person. Losing both he and De Rossi in the same summer isn't ideal, imo.
How can you not be? What RB out there can we afford that are going to be a sure thing? What needs to happen is bring in a young RB and have them prove themselves for a year then you can sell Florenzi. Selling Florenzi now is a huge gamble and not even a calculated one at that, IMO.
Honestly? I just don't think he's that great at playing FB. He was woeful at times last season, imo. I know we've tried and (so far) failed to find a suitable replacement/rotational option, but that doesn't mean they're not out there. That just means we suck. We signed a guy who can't stay fit and a Brazilian WB with the IQ of a hamster. It's not like Florenzi keeps beating out class fullbacks to keep his starting job- quite the contrary.
SES has interest from China. I’d be very surprised if he leaves to be honest. He suffered a lot until he found home at Roma, I don’t think he will chase money elsewhere.
I am sure as hell we will hit some wrong passes, we dont have a xavi - iniesta - kroos - zidane - de buryne walking to our lineup. When the other teams hit us on counter and our defence is positioned so high we will need our defenders to be quick tracking back. There is a world of difference between Ranieri system, and EDF system. I think Fonseca more close to EDF with his style then Ranieri.
Marseille are facing a financial crisis and are therefore prepared to sell any of their four most valuable players – Dimitri Payet, Florian Thauvin, Kevin Strootman and Morgan Sanson. The club must sell players before end of June to meet Financial Fair Play regulations. pic.twitter.com/eIza7AxmPd— Transfer News (@TransfersLlVE) June 22, 2019 We were linked to Thauvin earlier.
Fazio playing for a mourinho backs to the wall manager - a monster. Playing for a progressive manager - a liability waiting to happen. I get that Fonseca's system should be more controlled than EDF and he shouldn't be as exposed but it's a weak decision. We're about to start a new cycle. Time to move on guys that really don't fit the manager.
