Either the Jacksonville Armada exists and plays in NPSL, or it doesn't and the trophy reverts to a team that does exist. I recommend the first option.
Or Jacksonville Armada U23, an existing NPSL team, is removing the U23 from their name and allowing some former players from the NASL team play for them. I'm going to maintain both Jacksonville being a continuation, and them going on hiatus, at least for a while.
First update of the 2018 season! Playoffs and Playoffs Combined Dallas holds onto it on 3/3, 3/18, and 3/24 against RSL, Seattle, and Portland. These teams have yet to win this trophy: Orlando (5 chances), LAFC (0 chances) Regular Season LAFC wins it in their first ever MLS game on 3/4 against Seattle! They also held it on 3/10 against RSL. LAG won it from them on 3/31. These teams have yet to win this trophy: Atlanta (1 chance), Minnesota (2 chances) Reverse Montreal held the trophy on 3/4 and 3/10 against Vancouver and Columbus. Toronto took it on 3/17, then RSL on 3/30, These teams have yet to win this trophy: LAFC (0 chances) All Leagues NPSL hasn't started for the division Jacksonville is in. All Leagues (Provisional) Indy takes over the trophy as the last remaining champion not on hiatus. They hold it against Richmond Kickers on 3/24, then lose it to Cincinnati on 3/31. As mentioned earlier, I'm maintaining two versions of the all leagues version for the time being. I would still appreciate input from people about which they think is most appropriate.
Indeed it would! I've updated through today, but I'll wait until MLS regular season end to post the whole update. Some tidbits to hold you over until then: Orlando still has not won either of the MLS + Playoffs trophies, and are the only team that's played in MLS that hasn't. MLS Regular Season only has been won by all MLS teams. The All Leagues trophy (treating Jacksonville as the same team) has ended up back in MLS. However, the provisional (Indy is the latest remaining winner from last season) wound up back in USL after a short trip down to the PDL.
End of 2018 regular season update (and first bit of USL playoffs). I'm going to abbreviate a bit, because I didn't update this for most of the season: Team - Streak length Playoffs and Playoffs Combined Dallas - extends it to 7 NYC - 1 NYR - 4 New England - 5 LAG - 4 Colorado - 3 LAF - 5 (This is their first win ever, and they hold it for 5!) Chicago - 1 DC - 5 (This ends the regular season) These teams have yet to win this trophy: Orlando (6 chances) Regular Season Kansas City - 3 New England - 1 Montreal - 1 Chicago - 1 Columbus - 5 Atlanta - 3 (This is their first win ever) Dallas - 1 Salt Lake - 1 Minnesota - 3 (This is their first win ever) Vancouver - 6 Seattle - 1 Philadelphia - 4 NYR - 2 (To the end of the year) All teams have won this trophy. Reverse Vancouver - 3 Salt Lake - 2 DC - 1 San Jose - 11 (This is a record, beating their last longest of 10) Dallas - 2 Minnesota - 4 Portland - 2 Salt Lake - 1 New England - 1 Montreal - 1 (To the end of the year) These teams have yet to win this trophy: LAFC (2 chances) All Leagues (Starts in NPSL) Jacksonville - extended to 6 Miami United - 2 Orlando - 1 (Transfer to MLS in USOC) Vancouver - 1 Philadelphia - 1 LAF - 5 Minnesota - 1 Vancouver - 4 Toronto - 3 Portland - 3 Houston - 4 Seattle - 4 (To the end of the regular season) All Leagues (Provisional) (Starts in USL) Louisville - 4 Indy - 2 Mississippi Brilla - 2 (Transfer to PDL in USOC) Nashville - 7 (Transfer to USL in USOC) Louisville - 2 Pittsburgh - 3 Charleston - 5 Cincinnati - 12 NYR2 - 1 As mentioned earlier, I'm maintaining two versions of the all leagues version for the time being. I would still appreciate input from people about which they think is most appropriate.
End of 2018 results Playoffs As it turns out, the Playoffs and Combined trophies split this year. Columbus wins on 11/1 and 11/4 against DC United and the Red Bulls. Atlanta wins on 11/25 against the Red Bulls, and then lose in the second leg, returning the trophy to the now eliminated Red Bulls. The trophy ends there this season. Playoffs Combined Columbus wins it on 11/1 against DC United. The Red Bulls win it in the Conference Semifinals. Atlanta United wins it in the Conference Finals, and holds onto it against the Timbers in MLS Cup. The trophy ends there this season. As mentioned earlier, I'm maintaining two versions of the all leagues version for the time being. I would still appreciate input from people about which they think is most appropriate. In any case the 5 trophies all end with different teams this season, which is REALLY weird.

These teams have yet to win this trophy: LAFC (3 chances), FC Cincinnati (0 chances) As mentioned earlier, I'm maintaining two versions of the all leagues version for the time being. I would still appreciate input from people about which they think is most appropriate. Since Dallas couldn't hold it in USOC play, I just kept it going in USL, and we'll see how it fares next year in USOC play, because it's fun and why the hell not?
