Daniele Verde isnt beung redeemed so he is coming back.
Sell Under, get Berardi and keep him.

    LW: SES, Kluivert
    RW: Berardi, Verde

Berardi for 13m is great but likely impossible. Berardi for anything approaching 30m would be madness.

I know I'm likely in the minority, but I'm not totally convinced Under's leaving this summer. He's not ready to leave, and we'd almost certainly be selling low.

Dzeko to Inter seems more likely by the day and Manolas is straight plusvalenza.

I really don't see the need to move Under at all. He'd get us so much more after a big season.

Honestly, he's got a year left on his deal. If they wanna give us a reasonable fee, I think we gotta pull the trigger.

Thank him for his service, clear his wages, bring in a little cash and move on.

I like Kolarov 1000x more than Dzeko, but I'd still do it.

Verde is a good option. I think he deserves his chance here. I like the right wing, the left I'm not so sure without Perotti as I don't trust SES to be consistent enough to lead.

God when I look at this roster there are so many question marks I feel bad for the next DS.

GK. Spend money here or try to roll with Mirante and Fuzato

RB. I'm torn on Karsdorp. I'd like to move him but his value has to be next to nothing and he has show glimpses of being good.

CB. I'm not sure how much of the story is true but (big but) if it's true Manolas was part of the locker room problems then he needs to go. Sadly that means we probably have to hand on to JJ. So it would be JJ & Fazio plus 2 additions (I think Marcano is done as he could sniff the field under 2 coaches). I just don't think we can afford to replace more than 2 CBs.

LB. Gotta find a Kolarv replacement, a vet to go with Luca.

CM. We need a DM and Tonali would be my choice, I think he's more of a true DM than Barella. We also need to figure out what to do with Coric he cannot rot on the bench another season. Need to lock down Zaniolo too. I think we have to keep Pastore and just pray he stays healthy otherwise we are going to take a huge loss.

Wings. SES and Kluivert have 2 of the spots locked down. If we a really good offer for Under I'd be ok selling him but that means we need to spend some cash here, promising wingers are expensive. I'd love to keep Perotti because I think he brings a professionalism and attitude we need, I'm just not sure Roma can afford him at this point due to his injury problems.

ST. Ugh.. what a disaster. Due to his cost and what we still owe Samp I don't think we have any choice but to keep him but I only have the slimiest of hopes he'll actually work out. So we need a ST that is at least serviceable... again this is going to be big $$$ for this position.

On top of that we have to figure out what to do with the likes of; Gonalons, Gerson, Verde, Peres. Personally, I'd like to give Gerson a shot but that means we probably have to move 1 or 2 CM but he showed some real promise at Fior. and he just turned 22.

Considering the investment most likely needed for a midfielder of that quality. We first need a manager and then we sign the player who best fits his needs.

But in a dream situation and we could have a chance of building a midfield around both of them I would happily sell 2 of Zaniolo, Cristante and Pellegrini to achieve it. Not because I dont like those guys. They all have huge potential but because the other 2 are perfect to complete a perfectly balanced midfield. Something we have not had since year one Rudi. DDR, Strootman, Pjanic.
Tonali can play the sitting midfield role
Barella the perfect box to box
and then you have one of those other 2 left to play attacking midfield along with Coric, Pastore as of right now. If I was in charge I would push for this and address the unbalance we have. This could take a lot of problems of us in general play and cover other holes we may still have going into next season. All while establishing a young midfield core that could carry the team forward (if not sold of course) :sneaky:

If not Tonali I would be happy to see Pulgar here, before your other club tries to sign him again ;) At 25 hes right on track to step up. He can do a bit of everything while chipping in with goals and at 6'2 can put himself about. Undervalued player.

I don't know if I'd sell either Zaniolo or Pellegrini. Every young player is a gamble and I'm not sure I want to sell your promising youth to chase the next great thing. I think Zaniolo can be that box-to-box and he can be every bit as good as Barella. I do think Cristante is expendable.

I do like Pulgar and think he'd be a good option there and he's just hitting his prime.

As for my other club.. what a difference management makes. They already signed Hazard, Schulz (depth for LB) and Brandt and are linked with Zapata. Their market is almost done and we don't even have a DS.

If this club is serious about a rebuild then you hold onto Zaniolo, plain and simple. Why go out and spend 40-50 million on a Barella when we already have someone who has the potential to be just as good?

Because it addresses a huge weakness in the most important area of the pitch. I dont see Zaniolo becoming a box to box player and as talented as he is, if fixing that meant having to sell him to fund a better Roma on the pitch then so be it.

As of right now we have 5, yes 5 attacking midfielders ffs and an underused Coric who might yet be the best of the bunch. No true all round box to box unless you count a Cristante filling in and one DM in Nzonzi. It needs to be addressed.

Verde showed such promise but he's been fairly bad at 2 other places now. I'd certainly be willing to bring him into camp and give him a look because he's still fairly young.

Who do we have on loan that would be returning this upcoming season?

Give Verde decent conditions back home, some confidence, and let him spread his wings.

I'm calling BS. I think Dzeko to Inter is possible, maybe even likely, but how the hell have we agreed on a price when we don't even have a DS or a coach?

FFS.. we need a director asap
