Ofc he’s gonna be the starter. We’re gonna sell Umtiti and Valverde might not even be there next season considering there are reports that he’ll resign.I doubt Bartomeu is really gonna keep him around otherwise he should kiss his position as the president good bye next season before the election starts. Also, de Ligt was in Barca along with FDJ. He might’ve been looking for a house and stuff.
Also those Utd rumours are apparently fake. They don’t have the guts to steal our target. Edwin van der Sar is salty that we rekt him twice during his tenure as Utd GK.
Who says we sell Umtiti ? He’s wants to stay here, on his massive weekly wage .. plus who’s gonna buy a crocked player who rejects treatment ..
Who whole Ajax squad were in Barca ..... I’d actually take their squad and manager and just integrate Messi into them ..
de Ligt still would’ve been looking around for a house and sources suggest that we’re gonna sign him since Utd backed out.
I’d sigh get a competent, forward thinking manager in place then sign De Ligt and make him our new Captain

Make up your mind, lad https://www.goal.com/en-kw/news/de-...na-man-utd-snub-in-/8e3pyf4ocwpk19mn41owr94qf
He is making a big decision regarding his career and his life, and there's a lot of money on the line. Understandable to think about it a couple of months, understandable to give "non-answers" while thinking about it, and seeing what options there will end up to be.
As, iirc, now you're not locked out of CL football when you played for a club before the winter break, he has even the time to see how things fare and decide in januari where to move. Gives him the time to see club/coach/team mates combo's performing.
it might actually be for the best if he decides to stay at Ajax for another season and join us next summer. that would let us put all our resources to revamping our forward line, would also give us another year to asses the severity of Umtiti's injury.
🗣️ [@FApor_elmundo] | Roberto Martínez, despite what some people say, is well prepared to lead Barça. And his World Cup assistant with Belgium, Thierry Henry, is now looking for equipment. It would be a great tandem for the Blaugrana bench. pic.twitter.com/oaSxdIRQoR— BarçaTimes (@BarcaTimes) May 27, 2019
Agree. Not sure if realistic but that's the best case scenario IMO. Or we can buy him and loan him to Ajax for 1 year (we'd still have to pay the transfer fee + salary now in this case, but at least we'd know that next summer there would be less reason to spend).

Martinez rumours, not bad. Need to sort out the coach quickly, tough to see us make other key decisions before that. Well, except the Segura decision.
Valverde is out, and Segura could follow closely behind. https://www.sport.es/es/noticias/barca/barca-anunciara-este-martes-marcha-valverde-7477223 Rac1 is reporting the news. El Mundo Deportivo, the Bartomeu mouthpiece, is denying for now (that it will happen today, not that it won't happen). Valverde will not be the coach next season. Roberto Martinez, Ronald Koeman and Max Allegri are the top candidates under consideration for the job.
One thing we must take into account with this coaching search is that it will be with a very short line of sight considering we'll have elections two years from now with a generation of senior players who will be at the end/very near the end of their careers. This will be a change of direction for sure, but the real sweeping of the decks will come with the next president in 2021. Bob Martinez is the only name being floated about right now which checks the boxes of being younger (energize older players), Catalan, and of Cruyff style. He has successfully navigated a tricky dressing room in Belgium, so I feel like this Barcelona team would be well within his means coupled with his knowledge of all the external things that come with the club.
I am at the point where I feel anyone is better than EV for the next season, so anyone taking over will have my full support.
Martinez is pretty decent considering what he did with Belgium in the WC. Ronald Koeman is Dutch and pretty good manager himself, but I doubt he would leave Dutch NT project.
Not sure Martinez is the right choice. Seems like a really nice guy and all, but has zero experience managing a big club, or even semi-big club. His results haven't been overly impressive either. Very mixed for both Wigan and Everton. Doubt he would even be under consideration if he wasn't Catalan. (Not a good enough reason)
