This Irish Premiership referee was interviewed by one of the radio stations (Lisburn98FM). It is slightly short of a regulation half, however, he talks about his rise to the top from a 13year old to current (he is 24 now). Worth a listen - http://bit.ly/2VTmOGT Validates, among many things, about how people can pick up very quickly when the referee is indecisive just by the way the whistle is blown, and the importance of communication and that it is as important to be keeping on top of what has not changed since so long equally, because we can sometimes ... well, listen to it yourselves.
That was a good listen, he's well-spoken. The interviewer seemed knowledgeable with good lead-ins on several questions. Cool story at the end about his (accidental) first FA match. Short link points to a .MP3 at https://cf-media.sndcdn.com/. I'm actually surprised my work filter did not block it.
Having said that... I found it here: https://soundcloud.com/lisburns98fm/jamie-robinson-on-life-as-a-referee
Good find, this link works; the OP link is direct to the downloadable 'podcast' file, which is useful ( I had to replay a few sections to compensate for accent).
The link was from the downloadable mp3 (which was due to the network not always reliable, and I also had to back-track to understand), and looks like it was time-blocked. I should have given more particulars in the beginning, however, you all were resourceful enough to find it. I will not let this faux pas be repeated.
