what drives me nuts is that its not a lack of effort or desire thats driving son heungmin to underperform. he wants to do too much. instead of sticking to his strengths he drops down and gets involved in build up plays and sideline dribbles. it leads to avoidable turnovers as hes not the best with the ball, especially in the centre of the pitch. hes best when he remains near goal. worst part is by the time he figures out his personal formula it may be too late as his physical prime will have already ended by then. the next meaningful international match for korea doesnt take place until year 2022
He also seems to have the same effect that Messi has on his Argentina teammates. Guys overplaying the ball to Son, then standing around and staring at him in awe. Happens too much for my liking. Kang-In really needs to pan out for us and the rest of the team needs to grow some balls.
