Bayern are still interested in Callum Hudson-Odoi and the player wants to join Bayern. The transfer will most likely take place next summer on a free and the player would get a signing on fee [@SkySportNewsHD] pic.twitter.com/07Tx3Ma9Uv— Bayern & Germany (@iMiaSanMia) May 6, 2019 this I don't get. I mean why does Odoi want to move to Germany? With a transfer ban he'll play a ton next season and the guy complains like a baby that he's not playing enough. a 00 19 year old who played like 1200 min this season in all competition. That's a lot for his age and for an England club too. Going to Bayern is no guarantee that he'll be a starter either. meanwhile the other 00 winger Davies so far has been rather eh in RL for Bayern II. 0 goals and 1 assists in 3 games playing 270 min. his only goal in 1BL was a tap in after Bayern was already 5-0 up.
These stats might be misleading. Based on the following video, he is probably way too good for the RL.
I know he's done better but efficiency is still important for someone who cost a fortune like him, he needs to justify his price tag. and lets be honest he's only given 1st team chances because of the price tag. Hasan and others have already said so. There are tons of players who do very well in RL but are never given chances because they cost peanuts....
What's the reason for his big price tag ? Doesn't it have to do with his huge potential? If they thought he was shit, they wouldn't have bought him for big money. Look at his athleticism, technique, dribbling skills, duel behaviour. He has the potential to play at a very high level. They think he can make the first team, that's why they bought him and give him 1st team chances. Plus, all their first team wingers are injury prone. So I think there are multiple factors. His price tag + high potential + Ribery, Robben and Coman being injured. I doubt that. I think it's about the talent level. Another thing to consider is that if they shine in RL and their BL club doesn't give them chances, they will move to another club in a higher division and shine there eventually. Janni Serra and Dorsch for instance. Big talents don't get stuck in the RL forever. Big talents move up the ranks and get what they deserve by the time they are 24-25. Some clubs might slow them down for a season or two but they get what they deserve in the end in my opinion. Of course it can be frustrating for us fans but that's the reality.
the price tag is in part due to bidding war between Bayern and other clubs and it's Hasan who bought him. Neither Uli nor KHR, nor Kovac decided anything. Seems like any player worth less than a certain amount Hasan can get him without needing approval. Another reason for the price tag is that Davies was the biggest talent in the shit league of MLS, they weren't going to sell him cheap either. and most of those talents end up moving to 2BL not even 1BL chances that's where the difference is. Don't really buy that either, lots of players they get blocked from moving by their own clubs and others the clubs want to keep them even while admitting they have 0 plans to integrate them to 1st team.We have come to a increasing point in time where RL is mostly not about match practice, it's about a place to put players who return from long term injury for a bit and a place to give chances ONLY when mass injuries happen.
Tbf I can see why Bayern would be very keen to sign him, imo he has genuine potential to be world class and if he signs he will almost instantly be worth anything up to €100m. Already a full international and does not look out of place in either the Chelsea or England team, despite being just 18/19 years old. Would be a great piece of business to get him cheap or even free next year.
not talking about Bayern but Odoi himself, what's the point of going to Bayern, no guarantee of being a starter when he's already playing a ton at Chelsea while only being 18-19. His desire to leave never made much sense and Sarri might be dumped and Chelsea have a transfer ban next season as well.

Koln is confirmed 2BL champs and promotions. HSV embarrased themselves and won't be back next season. now 1BL promotion and playoffs will be between Paderborn (2nd place in 3rd Liga last season what a jump) and Union. Advantage Paderborn for the direct promotion.
Gonna be a challenging summer ahead for HSV. Veteran players like Lasogga, Holtby and Hunt are pretty much all going. They don't have much budget to work with and are mainly planning to bring in other 2BL players even before they reached this point
