Only you, hang, could trick me out of hiding. Offensively, Harrison Afful has the talent to disrupt opposing team's organization as well as any outside back in the league - and it starts in our back third, carries through midfield and he frequently breaks through in the final third, sometimes through crosses, but not always. His cross quality is well above average for backs in the MLS. He is extremely fast, has excellent deft touch and is very clever of foot. He is cool under pressure and consistently escapes perilous situations. One of our best 1 v 1 on the dribble. He is not among the leagues best defending OB's, but in a system that leverages the position offensively, its a great trade. Oh, and he busts his ass with the passion and heart of a lion. I hope I get to see him with a quality winger who can capitalize on what he creates and set him up in return.
I am sure that elitist skyline haters would be disgusted by Tony Packos, but I would regularly give portions of my paycheck to a local establishment.
#Crew96 supporters: be prepared for heavier traffic than usual tomorrow for #CLBvFCD. Supporters with VIP Lot and B Lot parking passes should enter off of Hudson St. (Exit 112). All other supporters should enter off of 17th ave. (Exit 111).— Historic Crew Stadium (@CrewStadium) March 15, 2019
Afful had 2 goals and 6 assists last year. He has taken 4 shots this year with 2 within the pipes. He would be a better winger than Pedro. Pedro has zero shots on goal this year and one very lucky assist. Don't vote for Pedro...Vote for Harry.
The last time I saw him(in person) we were drinking shots with @Hamburgler03 at the Megatailgate before the NYRB match.
I know this is a bit late but if someone could get me a copy of the program from tomorrow's game (and any other games they go to this season), I would be willing to pay for postage costs at the end of the season and either a few extra bucks for the trouble or exchange for programs from a NE Ohio team(s)
Personally I'm almost more interested in the buildings and architecture of our zoo than the animals. They just restored the old underground tunnel that connects the new side (main entrance) to the main part of the zoo on the other side of the Anthony Wayne Trail. It's been closed for years. My Christmas present to all of my family was donating a decent amount of money to the renovation of the tunnel and having our families names engraved in a large subway tile. It's a special place and a treasure for the city of Toledo.
I always thought it was fun that they called it "the subway".... I'd been through it years ago--glad to see it's reopened
It’s match day, I’m fighting a cold and taking my almost 2 y/o during peak nap time by myself for the first time (normally the wife is along with)...what could go wrong?
Crew 2 Burn 1. Zardes and Higuain find the back of the net (Higs on a PK). Sloppy midfield turnover by *INSERT DISAPPOINTING WINGER HERE* leads to a Burn goal on the counter.
I’m just thankful that despite not being able to afford season tickets. That I will be able to attend because of the generosity of our great fans. So thanks to Bill Archer and Tom because 3 of my friends can also attend and they said mucho gracias The weather sucks but our wingers will hopefully be inspired not to suck any longer. I think we will win and the weather might even be in our favor. Be safe, Be Warm and Be Massive
Does anyone know if you can enter via Hiawatha into the stadium? I know you can exit that way, but I don't know if it is blocked off before the game. I've always come in via Hudson but the traffic cop at the light was especially bad last game so I'm looking for alternatives. I park in B lot.
There are many 1st rate people who post on this forum. I too am grateful for the generosity that has been shown to me and others on this site.
I came in last week via Hiawatha. I was too was curious about that tweet saying to only use the 2 main entrances. My buddy, traded his VIP parking pass for Lot B parking pass exclusively for the entrance and exit from Hiawatha. I wonder if/how this will effect him today.
