Report on #S04 latest defeat. Losing to City is fine but to embarrass yourself, and the #Bundesliga as a whole, like this needs to lead to some serious questions regarding Domenico Tedesco. Anyhow my report for @FutbolgradLive is available right HERE 👉https://t.co/11XCZf1R4o pic.twitter.com/UVrExkvthl— Manuel Veth (@ManuelVeth) March 12, 2019
Schalke should be out of Europe for a while. Heidel spent over 166 Mio over the years for this shit show https://www.bild.de/sport/fussball/...es-europa-spiel-fuer-jahre-60615384.bild.html
Speculation that Tedesco will be sacked if Schalke do not win against Leipzig in their next match https://www.sportbuzzer.de/artikel/...edesco-jochen-schneider-entlassung-interview/
There’s people out there who were thinking Schalke could pull off a miracle because they beat Real Madrid away a few years ago, as well as Ajax and United’s heroics last week. This team lost 4:0 at home to Fortuna Düsseldorf less than a fortnight ago...— farmers league fan (@Ruhrbarb) March 12, 2019
lol I'd like to see Theresa May try and defend against @LeroySane19 https://t.co/tvgjlgdFIn— FC Schalke 04 (@s04_en) March 12, 2019
8 - Manchester City's 10-2 aggregate win over Schalke is the biggest ever by an English side in a Champions League knockout tie. Cruise. pic.twitter.com/NFfg3MfTmD— OptaJoe (@OptaJoe) March 12, 2019
So Schalke managed to surpass Bayer Leverkusen who was beaten by Barcelona 7-1 few years back...there is no fight, no prestige, no self respect...what a disgrace!!
Max Meyer mocked Heidel on Instagram after Schalke got destroyed by City lol https://www.90min.de/posts/6318463-ex-schalker-meyer-verspottet-heidel-auf-instagram
Fortuna wants to activate the purchase option for Kownacki which reportedly looks like it's only 5 Mio http://www.fussballtransfers.com/nachricht/dusseldorf-kownacki-option-wird-gezogen_101835
Borussia Dortmund will probably sign a ball playing striker from the low-price segment. #bvb— German Football Daily (@GERFootDaily) March 13, 2019
everytime I look at 3rd Liga makes me feel like such a shame how far 3 clubs have fallen in Karlsruher, Kaiserslautern and 1860 Munich.
1-0 for Liverpool and that massive away goal. as it stands no Ligue 1 team and no 1BL team will make the QF. That Ligue 1 is also doing badly is the only + for this season for 1BL.
plenty of reports were saying that Liverpool will target Rafinha, lol. That's the #1 Bayern player who I'm not even sure what he's still doing at Bayern. And Neuer made a huge mistake advancing that much. Miss the pre long term injured Neuer.....
been saying 1BL is poor all season. 1BL out of CL and so is Ligue 1. Well at least we are still barely ahead of other leagues. As usual EPL and La Liga dominate.....
How far down German football can go from here? Starting with June 2018 and we are now in March 2019 hitting rock bottom by getting knocked out of CL by 3 English clubs
EPL and La Liga are the dominant force in CL+Juventus. If you want to go far in that competition than 1BL won't be the answer for awhile. Seems like Bayern is the only competitive team in CL from 1BL. could have been different if Kung Fu Muller and Kimmich card accumulation didn't happen.
I honestly thought Bayern's experience would see them out so I am surprised by the result even though the club and league has been depleting for years. It's funny, I remember right before the world cup how the community and media pundits everywhere were admiring Germany's incredible youth system and talent pool. Now it's completely flipped and seems like there is no future for German football. Lowe telling Muller,Boateng, and Hummels that they aren't good enough is also laughable to me because I can't think of anyone right now who can step up and take their places.
I think for 1BL to really get better again, we need domestic players to really get to the next level. Another golden generation. 1BL clubs seem to do the best in Europe when it's domestic players are heavily involved, we need that again. Although reality is that it will likely take a bunch of years for that to happen again. Between dfb and clubs updating their training at the youth levels and for the next gen of players to breakthrough and establish themselves.
Dortmund are often competitive, even this season they won a group ahead of Atletico and the Tottenham tie was closer then the score line suggested, one very bad half over two matches cost them as did injuries and missed chances. I would say that going forward the BL has 2 teams that are capable of at least making the CL knockouts consistently and maybe further, but beyond that there is nothing. The likes of Leipzig, Gladbach or Leverkusen will likely bomb or if they get an easy group maybe get embarrassed in the round of 16. To have such a lack of strength in depth in the league is embarrassing for a country of Germany size and economic power.
Where are the up and coming WC talents. I just don't see any. The BL and German football has been on a decline since 2014 and this probably isn't even the bottom yet. The near future looks dim. Bayern is going to spend 200 million on Pavard, Werner and Hernandez then overspend on a bunch of mediocre squad players. These are not the players to take us back to the top. Werner will be a huge flop IMHO.
#Schalke - The club is always good for a surprise! Now Domenico #Tedesco is supposed to stay #S04 coach on Saturday. He will be leading the morning training session today. The idea to work with #Eichkorn on an interim basis was rejected. #S04RBL https://t.co/Ohcn1hhjnk— German Football Daily (@GERFootDaily) March 14, 2019
