He played cb and was captain of Boca for five years and five championships. Let’s give him three weeks before we write him off. What a mess just now - horrible passes by Feltscher and Antuna gift another goal. Great finish though.
Both goals (and almost 3) we gave up were due to silly errors. Polenta at least was trying to be proactive on pk call. Feltscher’s giveaway leading to 2nd goal was just pure carelessness.
I >wish< he could teach Ema ball control skills but highly unlikely. Three seasons and he still has the touch of a blacksmith.
Good lord. The Univision announcers (one of which was playing up his quality at the start of the game) are basically declaring Polenta as a bust after his second game.
As many of us said we need another good striker, another midfielder and another outside back to be a complete team.
It goes unpunished but once again Polenta went forward unnecessarily and left the defense high and dry. Only poor finishing prevented us from going down another goal.
We’ve got some great pieces that need to mesh together and we’ve got some players who just need more time to get game ready. I hate Dallas away. Always a frustrating game.
Polenta never played for Boca. He played in the Italian Serie B and has was playing for Nacional in the Uruguayan league.
Again Polenta moves into attack late in game when we HAVE to score (this time twice) to get any points. What an idiot, right?
Are passing from distance sucks. We are going to have to chalk this game up as a learning experience.
Frustrating to watch this mess. It reminds me of 2018 and I do not want to be reminded of that carp sesaon. Good and only solace is that we are trying few new guys and missing key others and that the lion sleeps tonight. Nothing to be done except wait for the next episode.
