It's ridiculous to ask for a degree in that kind of position. Maybe, maybe in the head of sales position, but really. This obsession with degrees for no reason has got to go. I'm guessing if you went thru the mess and debt of getting a bachelor's degree you might have bigger aspirations than selling tickets and sponsorships to soccer nerds
Well, Aaron actually called me today. Seems like a personable guy, said he would make a point of visiting me at my seat to put a face to a name -- more than I ever got from anyone else other than Jesse Bell. Mentioned that the lines getting in on Sunday did not move well, he acknowledged the problem and said they are working on streamlining the process. Also told him about the leak in the roof -- same as last year. He said he would relay it to building supervision -- I gave him the exact spot of contact, Sec. 126, Row 14, Seat 1 - right big toe.
I got my call this afternoon. Molly sounded tired, but full of enthusiasm. My name is near the end of the alphabet and I wonder how many clients each of these reps have. asitis
My name is close to the front of the alphabet and I haven't heard from her yet. If she's handy with tools, I may ask her to extend the roof over my seat.
I've pretty much given up on that ... as look over at my Caps jacket and Stanley Cup ring that they gave this year.
3 more games to pay for, that’s what we got. Oh yea, FTR, the Stanley Cup rin they have last month, that was for re-upping for next year. Dude who sits next to me, won free parking for next season in the plinko game they run between periods if you renew and get picked to play. I still remember when being a DCU STM rivaled the Caps experience.
Re: the Caps. Went with my son to the game against Winnipeg last night. He scored some club seats on the secondary market (Suite 213). Really impressed with the entire experience. I'll probably get a 5 or 10 game flex plan next season.
Flex plans are a gateway drug to half/whole season tix. @griffin1108 But Proner is right, you can usually find tix on the open market, especially close to the game day at good prices. Oct/Nov/Dec games are usually not well attended. This year might be an exception because we raised the banner and they kept people more engaged, but most years, there are a lot of empty seats at the beginning of the season. A lot of low interest opponents on midweek nights are usually available at a deal. Stick to something other than Ticketmaster, NHL or Caps.com too. They do the same thing DCU does with open seats that DCU does, which is mark them way up. As long as you don't wanna see Pittsburgh, Philly, NY, Carolina, there isn't a ton of demand for midweek tickets much of the time.
I switched over to sharing a part of a friend's full season plan, so I'm getting in at the whole season ticket rate. But I did notice for most of my flex games in the past, it was cheaper to get in the door via the secondary market (or even tickets the Caps were offering at face value!) than what I paid for my flex plan. If you don't care who you see, or when, it's going to be cheaper to just work the secondary market for games, even when you tack on Stubhub or Ticketmaster fees.
If you think a flex plan works out for you, because you can set a schedule in advance, by all means, do so. I did like knowing when I was going and where I would be sitting well in advance. Just making sure you know all your options before going the flex/partial plan route.
