Dead ball service is crap tonight, save that first one from Monterrey. If one reads the history of association football, there are tales of the ref carding managers back in the 1800's, and ejecting fans from the ground, the ref was granted "God" status.. What is know as behavior not in standing with the spirit of the game and the ref can apply this as needed. Supposed to be gentlemen in spirit of the game. Which is long gone of course, hence why I mentioned that normally the ref will just talk/warn any head coach. Cuz if he is really acting a fool, the ref just ejects the man from the ground no booking needed. Like how baseball is with the ump, after having enough from the manager, will toss the man. Baseball having that old 1800's way of being as well. One enough has been said, you gone!
Nagbe can't get it done as an 8 on the road at Monterrey. He's a really bad defender. Just got worked there by Pavon. Usually he's just ball watching. No adjustments by FDB.
2-0 and well deserved with all the blatant flopping and whining by Atlanta all night. Hopefully Monterrey eliminates them with ease.
That's 8 goals for MLS and only one (soft PK) for MLS this round. Good thing the regular season just started!
Oh man---Monterrey with 2 away goals. It will be tough for Atlanta to make that up playing away in Mexico.
So Toronto bombed out in the 1st round---can Atlanta now safely be said to be the next eliminated team?
