I prefer Militao as a RB like he was used at Sao Paulo vs CB where he is being used at Porto. I wish we had another younger option at CB to use. Outside of marquinhos, a bit of a concern that we do not have one ready. Not really a fan of the Felipe Anderson callup, but I suppose it's better than calling someone like Willian. Is Douglas Costa injured? I'd leave Danilo off while using Militao as a RB. He's the future of the position IMO.
@celito - has Arthur even been that good this season? I know our options are limited at meia, but I don't think he's been in great form. I was really hoping Malcolm would come through at Barcelona, but I guess we will have to wait and see what happens next year, whether it is at Barca or somewhere else.
Tite gives us a good list today but the only player I don’t like from his list is Dani Alves. Tite must think about future. We need a young right back but Dani is too old
Militao is really the only young RB we have. I don't have a problem with the Alves call up as much as I do the Danilo call. He has played less for City this season than Alves has for PSG. Even at this point of his career, Alves will give you more than Danilo will.
Arthur was playing solid up until his injury. But he hasn't been cutting through defenses with through passes. More like playing from the back, keeping possession, playing quick and finding an open players to pass the ball to. Valverde doesn't like Malcom because he was signed without being asked. Ego trip. Coutinho is the one that's being shit.
We definitely can used some younger options in defense. Militao and Marquinhos looks to be a fine future paring and Militao is the best option at RB as well with Albes declining age. This is a fine list minus Weverton but the 3rd keeper almost never plays. I think Gabriel Jesus might be the odd man out come Copa America. He regress as a player and not playing that well for the NT or City.
It's a fine list. It's the most revamped roster Brazil has announced since Russia, and I for one am glad Tite is trying out new names as opposed to Fagner, Paulinho, Taison, or Renato Augusto. I'm not saying these guys have zero to add, but given the 2022 World Cup is more than 3.5 years away, rebuilding is mandatory. Even if Brazil wins the 2019 Copa América (if this roster gels, it has a good chance), and/or the 2020 edition, we need to remember that reaching the World Cup is the next big goal. Qualifying starts more than 1 year away from now (March 23 2020), and that's approximately 8.5 months after the 2019 Copa América final. A lot can happen in such a period of time; even if Brazil steamrolls the competition to a continental win this July, Tite has to build a team for the qualifiers. They were very tough last time around and they won't be any easier. I believe Tite will lead Brazil to the 2019 Copa América title - it'll get him political capital for at the very least the beginning of 2022 qualifying. Winning the 2019 Copa América at home will make losing the 2020 edition an acceptable loss. Were Brazil to lose in 2019 and win it in 2020, it'd be better than nothing, but winning this year's edition - at home - is pivotal. Tite will have a lot of work on his hands between now and July 7. Good performances vs. Panama and the Czech Republic will lessen 2019 Copa América pressure - just a little bit.
Neres is amazing, but I hope Vinicius Jr will be ok soon... Real Madrid has been a disaster! Fire the coach?
Too bad for Vini ... Madrid disaster was written on the wall. Funny Ramos got suspended on purpose to make sure he played the QF ... Neres good player, poor finisher though.
