It's a tough pill to swallow but it needs to be a moment of reckoning for Florentino. You can give promising youngsters time to develop, but you need proven attacking quality alongside them to truly compete for trophies. Our attack has to be better next year. Our depth at the back has to be better next year.

Barcelona have been shitting all over us for years in domestic competition and yet it keeps happening. What does that say about our players, or the culture at the club?

Pathetic. Totally pathetic. There's a reason Barcelona keeps winning domestic doubles while we win maybe one Liga trophy every five years. Until something changes with the culture at the club and how seriously we take domestic competitions, this kind of stuff is going to keep happening.

Barcelona are the top dogs in Spain. We're just their bitches.

To some extent, El Clasico seems as though it's becoming absolutely meaningless.. 80% of the time we are just getting our asses whooped. Hopefully things change soon..

I think and most would agree that Solari had nothing to do with the result today.

Bernabeu has become a training ground for them . Sad but true.
No matter how much they ******** it up they've had an upper hand in transfers, man management and team unity.

Not at all surprised, I expect the loss at this point. This Barca team is in our heads and have been for years now.

Tbh two Clasico losses in less than a week would be the best thing for this club going forward. Perez and the board need to make serious changes this summer. This core has to go or at least a few accept a bench role.

We need hunger and ambition in this squad. Too much complacency in this environment.

I was telling my friend, doesnt matter how good we are, or how bad they are! we lose the mental game to them ... It doesnt help that we dont take our chances as well, if you recall last year, we lost 0-3 at Madrid again, and in that game we also missed bunch of chances and they didnt ...

all the media doesn't talk now about VAR? Dembele was in offside in the second goal, and Real deserve at least two penelties.

we have a like 8-9 chances to score, and Barca 2-3 this is the problem.
Benzema will score next week and again they will honor him at the press like he is Ronaldo..
still didn't understand how a person preferred Bale on Ronaldo, this is a crime!.

Do you want Solari next season? Honestly. The biggest club in the world needs to go get a big manager.

Yep. We should have won the game but kept squandering chance after chance. We needed a striker BEFORE Ronaldo left and it has shown throughout the season.

    Where was Mariano?

He made some mistakes but i think the biggest one was not playing for the result. It was a two leg game after all. He also should have picked up Isco or at the very least subbed in Ceballos instead of Valverde. I love Fede but he hasn't show anything to be ahead of those two guys.

Playing LV after the horrible game last week was also a mistake. Dude offers almost nothing in attack and Barca benefited from that, they simply put up at least 4-5 people in the box to surround VJ and Benzema and that was all she wrote.

Casemiro was a beast, great performance imo. As were Regui (what a performance!) and VJ. LV had some good moments in defense but offered nothing going forward and i think it's time we stop relying on that tradeoff because it leaves us with only VJ and Benzema in attack.

Vinicius was seriously spectacular, if only he had finished those 2/3 easy chances (because they were). For me, he's really showing to be a generational talent and making his price tag look silly.

Having said that - refreshing the forward line is a top priority, as well as a new CM who is young and world class. This team needs new blood, it's clear.

Reguellon was superb BTW, such heart!

Took a horribly long exam then went home and saw the score... jeez. Should I watch the game or just read on here to see how we played? I’d rather not get any more mopey if I can help it.

They clearly have a psychological and mental superiority against us, that's what explains why no matter how good we play, we lose against them, and even if we win, we only win 3-1 at max.

I personally won't be happy and satisfied until we rape them by 6-0 or more for several times for a couple years.

Would have liked to have seen Ceballos given more time even starting. His chemistry with VJ has been great.

I think they certainly should start together more often especially if Reguilon is starting.

No. I have not implied. I have directly mentioned Kroos being ripe as a peach for being sold - perfectly visible also in y`day match. Example being him again unable to cover the box. I have said absolutely zero about Modrić and Casemiro individually. As for quote about midfield it is the same shit i repeated many times before, and it implies whole season as seen per context.

The fact is you are still unable to specify aspects of the game let alone the ones in which we were better. The fact is also that you are defending another pathetic defeat vs. Barca as much as Lope did after Camp Nou travesty. Apologetics per se.

Especially after the 0-1, Ceballos should have been subbed in for Kroos or Modric.
