New England Revolution owner Robert Kraft s being charged with two counts of soliciting someone to commit prostitution, stemming from a raid in a day spa in Florida, police said Friday.

Is this bad enough to force him to sell?

Apparently Tom just isn’t providing the sparkle in their relationship that it used too.

So, did this DP take up an international slot or was it homegrown?

With Gronkowski retiring, he was probably looking for a new tight end.

Although, as more details are coming out, it sounds like Kraft was caught during a investigation into a human trafficking ring.. That aspect could increase the likelihood of their being repercussions to Kraft related to his ownership of the New England teams...

I bet he was just video tapping her play call signals.

It really is sad how many times they have been caught cheating...how many times have they not been caught? I guess he got caught "cheating" this time too.

I imagine someone is going to connect the dots to the 2026 WC bid and add that point into one of these articles at some point.

I wonder if Brady or Belichick will consider retirement as a consequence of this scandal?
On the soccer front, Could MLS leverage this into forcing Kraft to build a SSS for the Revs?

Unless they can prove (or at least, have very strong indications) Kraft was involved in the human trafficking side of this story and wasn't just a "john" this incident isn't enough to cause more than a few game suspension form the NFL (and maybe MLS, but would he even notice?) and some massive fines from both leagues. Not to mention the idea of leveraging human trafficking into forcing Kraft to build a multi-million dollar sports arena is more than a bit...icky.

Now if somehow he's actually involved in the human trafficking part of this (which would shock me) then all bets are off.

Well i can imagine something like a closed door meeting with MLS/Garber saying "you got caught in inappropriate and criminal behavior and have given the league a black eye--as penance to the league you will build a SSS or else...."

I think it is more a matter of optics. If he had just been caught soliciting, its one thing, but he got caught at a “day spa” during a a human trafficking investigation. With how adverse the NFL is to bad press, it could get blown out of proportion pretty quickly. So far MLS is following the NFL’s lead, if things get nutty with the NFL, it’s going to get crazy with MLS.

That being said if things get crazy and the NFL forces Kraft out, the most likely result is that his son takes over and Kraft “retires”.

I think from Kraft's point of view in regards the the NFL (and MLS) that's the worst case he could expect. So no real change to either team's operations.

When Sterling was forced out of the NBA, the league did not allow him to pass the team off to his wife...
