I won't be there - by the time I got my access code, H/I was not listed as an available lot :-(. I'll be parking at 25 M st. this season.
Yep, the H/I lot was gone for me, too. Wound up getting parking at the 55 M St Garage. Which is $10 a game more expensive than last year. At least it should be pretty easy in/out. Plus it'll be a little easier to hit up Bonchon or Shake Shack from there before a game.
Red Bull Arena has gone paperless and will be largely cashless too this season. Drink some prune juice and commence griping.
Same with me for H/I -- not the best selection. I may just go day of game and take my chances. I'm going to miss 5 home games at least by being out of the country.
Went to SpotHero site and purchased individual games. Got a couple in H/I, including the home opener, most are in the 25 M lot (which is really entered from Half Street). Parked there several times last year as well. Not as nice as H/I, but about the same distance.
My friend says his email came late and then the access code wouldn't even work. DCU's FO remains a cluster********, so we still got that goin' for us. Sounds like paperless (i.e.; a way to track you), cashless (i.e.; a way to track and defraud you) and carless (i.e. better for the neighborhood muggers, I guess) is how they prefer their fans. Hopefully their USL side will still believe in the world how it should work. The only thing I know so far is that they'll have a parking lot, which puts them ahead of the mothership already
There were no discounts for the 2 lots that I'd used last year compared to what I know their single game, day of pricing to be. So much for an STM discount.
Yep. $30 for all the ones I picked. Since I'm only making 12 matches, I still beat any full season discount.
You could have bought an entire season, then gotten a refund every time you weren't going to attend a game or not driven in and saved more that way.
My worry about LUFC is two lane Sycolin Road. On a normal day, I am less than a 10 minute drive from the stadium site. If thousands of people (hey, I'm optimistic) attempt to get to the stadium at the same time, my drive will be much longer. I'll be making a right turn to get in, but I can imagine the difficulty of people coming from the Leesburg side trying to make a left turn.
Yeah, I wonder about that too - they are more ahead on the new Crosstrail Blvd construction than they are for the stadium - the sites kind of run together - maybe they'll have that done by August - but I doubt it, those somehow politically connected dufuses who live off Kincaid always try to block anyone from actually using their 4-lane divided road. Depending on game time, I'd probably come Shreve Mill to Sycolin so I could turn right into the stadium, but that left onto Sycolin should not be attempted during rush hour times - so I'd likely be coming from the Battlefield Pkwy side and turning left into the place. For the bigger games at the Evergreen soccer place the cops help people turn left off Evergreen Mill Rd - I'd hope this team will be an even bigger draw so they'd help over there as well - maybe convince the state cops to do it, they live right next door basically. Sometimes I'll hit the grocery store on Sycolin and 659 on my way home and drive by the way you say you'll be coming - folks turning left into the parking area there seem to make it okay, but you have to pick your spot and gun it, you can't be shy I've stopped and let buses turn in. Also right next door - the place where they burn weed they confiscate so maybe we'll get lucky on game day and catch a good wind while they're doing that heinous task.
