In WFT sports news, a guy from my alma mater is the first player from the school ever to play in the Senior Bowl. And there's viral footage of him doing a back flip.

Not bad for a 320 pound defensive tackle.

A TV producer in Pittsburgh has been fired for labelling New England quarter-back Tom Brady a "known cheater" during a news broadcast.

 

Hah! My boss and a couple of other colleagues based in St.Louis were bummed about the Super Bowl matchup. She said she couldn't stomach rooting for the New England Cheaters, so I reminded them that the alternative was a team that they used to have who skipped town.

And they talk wee-id in the Midwest, pronouncing their Rs and all that. If you want to call us the "Cheetahs" most people would just be confused and assume you are talking about the Jacksonville Jag-you-ares or Jag-wires, depending on where you're from. Like the ultimate fail of a woman at work, trying to trash-talk the Denver Broncos and calling them "The Oakland Horses." No lie, this really happened.

 

It's kinda ironic that someone from Pittsburgh Stealer country is calling someone else a cheater.

The woman, named in the suit as N.E., was at a T-Mobile store on the Black Horse Pike in Mays Landing on Nov. 18 last year to trade in a damaged smartphone.

She gave an employee access to the iPhone to prep it for data transfer and trade, and started looking around the store for newer models.

N.E. left her AirPods - the wireless headphones that connect to an iPhone - in her ears while the employee was using her phone.

“She started hearing this sound in the background that she couldn’t figure out,” the woman’s lawyer, Christian McOmber, said.

The woman headed back to the register to see two employees huddled around her phone laughing, McOmber said.

The woman went through her photos and videos and replayed them before seeing the preview for an intimate video she made for her fiancee. She played it and heard the sounds she was hearing earlier.

I know some of us who've coached have had dark thoughts about annoying parents, but this is ridiculous:

A Brooklyn high school basketball coach was charged with shooting the parent of one of his players.

Investigators said Christopher Hooks went to the home of Paul Robeson High School basketball coach Todd Myles to confront him about his son's playing time.

A short time later, police were called to Myles' home on December 22, 2018, where Myles told police that a third person shot them for an unknown reason and then fled the scene.

High school hoops was huge in my hometown. Back then, if the coach wasn't giving you playing time, it was because you weren't good enough. End of story.

Assuming the team won 20 games, that is.

#Florida or Ohio?

In one of these states, Freedom Ryder Zobrist danced semi naked after threatening to shoot everyone at the Waffle House.

A woman was arrested outside a Waffle House restaurant in ***** after allegedly taking off her clothes and dancing naked in the parking lot and exposing herself to employees.

Authorities said Freedom Ryder Zobrist arrived at the ***** restaurant Monday morning and was asked by a manager to leave due to unruly behavior. She returned later and allegedly threatened to shoot the manager and everyone inside the restaurant, ***** reported.

Zobrist then walked outside and “pulled down her pants” and started dancing around the parking lot,” according to the arrest report obtained by the station.

The manager told police she tried grabbing his genitals and then licked both sides of his face. One witness said Zobrist was naked in front of his vehicle, according to the report.

The suspect was being held in the ***** County jail on $800 bond and is scheduled to appear in court on Feb. 7.​

It's the combination of naked guns Waffle House. Also, I don't think you realize quite how many waffle houses we have. Almost every place I've lived in Florida I could walk to a Waffle House from my house. Lol.

And I guessed this one because of her name. Total Midwest name.

 

I'm totally nailing it on that website. My FL and OH credentials stand firm. And I only spent 3 years in OH. But damn if they aren't easy to peg.

This guy's a badass

Yesterday afternoon, a trail runner was out for a run alone in the Horsetooth Mountain Open Space area outside of Fort Collins, Colorado, when he was attacked by a mountain lion. The runner said he heard something behind him, and as he turned around to look, the lion attacked him from behind, biting his face and wrist. He managed to break free from the cougar’s claws and teeth, and he told investigators from Colorado Parks & Wildlife that he choked the lion to death while defending himself.
