Exactly. Decision made whether we like it or not. For the good of KNT we need to hope all goes well and he eventually winds up in Europe, however difficult it may be via MLS.

While I don't understand the sudden HIB hate in this community, I can totally agree that this thread makes no sense. Otherwise we'd have to create plenty of threads.
What's the "Official Koreans Abroad Thread" for?
Let's make NTH@Al Duhail, KMJ@Beijing Guoan or KYG@Gamba Osaka threads then

From the reports I read, there were several 2.Bundesliga teams wanting him, but Daejeon wanted 1.5 mil and so teams like Hamburg pulled out. Whitecaps offered 2.5m so they accepted.

So we're not sure then. Because reports said Watford made KMJ an offer and that turned out to be BS.

What's done is done. Let's support the kid and hope he gets out of MLS much sooner than later.

You would think with the amount of hate HIB is getting, they're acting like HIB fcked their moms or something.

aren't you mad that this 22 yr old with *military exemption* who's one of 2-3 prime candidates to be KSY's heir apparent went to the fckin MLS?
I for one am getting really damn exasperated by KPA decisionmaking over the past 8 years I've been following korean football with you guys.. and this one (along with KMJ's case) might be one of the most wtf cases

LOL ... see this is when i ask myself "why did I spend most of college slaving away in lab and after graduating delay getting paid for 10 years when I could've been doing finance interviews like literally everyone else to make bank at one of the MBB firms" but i digress

Okay then how about you delete the whole official koreans abroad thread and create seperate threads for every single NT KPA?

Some of these folks are the exact same people who were caught smiling on camera and having a blast while we were shitting the bed and barely beat Bahrain.

BSK isn't for endorsing transfers of korean players. it's a forum for discussion.

if there are members who want a legitimate thread to discuss his club performance, then it is fine.

if it gets buried, it gets buried.

    I think it's a mix of a
    • disappointing Asian Cup performance (while people often ignore the fact that HIB, who had started one game for the senior NT by then, unexpectedly had to take the burden and fill in Ki's shoes, wasn't at his best form because of a post-AG injury, and played with a knock against Qatar)
    • Bento's/KHB's favouritism, which angered fans of other players
    • his transfer to Vancouver, combined with a general hate against MSL
No matter what, he is and will likely remain a member of the NT as long as Bento manages us. I'd rather hope that he can somewhat develop and get the fck out of Vancouver within 1-2 years, than just giving up on him yet. If he can't, we can move on. While I also want PSH to get the role that Ki has left, like everyone does, I would definitely prefer HIB over any other scrubs as a backup option.

Yes everyone, by all means make the HEJ @ Gamba Osaka and whatever else threads you want. Make the college intramural thread too. It's a ********ing forum for international players, nobody cares.

As possibly a starting XI + sponsorship deals I'm sure that he will make more than the 80K USD that the kids you "hire" as a HR recruiter.

If there are J-league fans that are tracking these guys performance then they can make one I'm sure. It seems like all standards are thrown out the window so.
I mean Paik and Jeong get good traffic so I made them. Kim Jungmin I'm not too sure but I have legitimate interest so I made one. It's really up to you guys if there are players you guys are interested in. That matters the most it seem.

Once again, it's a free to use forum, and the category we're posting in is "Korean Players Abroad, with ill defined characteristics for what gets approved. Unless the admin decides certain threads aren't worth posting, it isn't BSK user's place to bitch and moan because so-and-so isn't a real league.

I get that you're new, but in BSK we always had a unwritten rule who gets to have a thread or not. So we'll have discussion on whether to make a thread for certain player. We had certain standard but I guess that wasn't the case.

Even though I would have discuss HIB's performance in the Korean aboard thread, is that a big deal he has his own thread ? After all, HIB is a regular member of KNT and the US/Canada is still more attractive than CSL or the desert.
If people here don't feed this thread regularly, it will be forgotten and eventually closed. There is nothing wrong opening a new thread as long as it doesn't break any forum's rules.

Contesting this thread, you give more importance to it than it really has. It's the top trending thread in the entire Bigsoccer, right now. If you don't want to talk about HIB here, just don't do it but don't prevent other people from discussing it.

Fair point, perhaps it's bc I'm new then. Just didn't understand the outrage is all. Regardless of on this thread or in the large discussion thread, I'll follow his progress and wish him the best :p
