He earned exemption only to cash out in Canada and the MLS instead of playing in Korea until the summer for a European move. And you're scolding people? Lol. And no, whitecaps are not better than K2.
Yes he did, but it was more of a homage/in respects to him especially since he retired from the senior team and wanted to retire with Vancouver. Hwang In-beom on the other hand is only 22.
Like, I don't understand this at all. It's the fcking MLS. He doesn't need a thread. Let's give KKH a thread while we're at it.
Okay. Go to the first page of the KPA subthread and tell me where you see 2 page threads for guys in 3rd tier Euro leagues today?
Well, the last thread on the first page is a two-page thread about Lee Donggook in the K-League. If the principle of it is an issue, I guess that's consistency for you.
It's a revived thread with the last reply being from last April, pushed back behind locked 2017-18 season threads. Bro, tell me you didn't make this thread just bc youre a whitecaps fan.
If Hwang In-beom was 35, already made a name for himself with his playing career, and looking for retirement in NA, then I wouldn't have gave a shit about his own thread. But, he's only 22, hasn't even hit his full potential or made a substantial career, and he decides to go with the Whitecaps.
Yes, this thread exists based on hopes that HIB will fulfil his potential. Well, if that's the case, every high schooler preparing for the SATs has the potential to go to Harvard. And then some end up in community college for 2 years with the dream of transferring into a 4 year university. That kid is HIB.
I guess I don't really see the issue, and I don't see anyone stopping others from creating threads for Kim Minjae at Beijing Guoan or Kim Younggwon at Guangzhou Evergrande or Gamba Osaka. I would welcome those threads, since I don't have much access to the J-League or CSL here. There is no magical threshold for creating threads here, nor do I really see a need to protect the imaginary "sanctity" of the KPA forum on the English-language based Bigsoccer.
That's because no one else is as dumb as you to create a stupid thread like this. Why are you celebrating this move by creating a thread for it? If we need to discuss something that happens to his club, there is a catch all thread to discuss it.
This thread shows why the KNT is in trouble. Instead of holding HIB accountable and admonishing him for wasting his exemption on a senseless move to MLS/Vancouver, a poster decides to create a separate thread to celebrate the move. And worse, some others actually join in to try and justify this brainless move. Shame.
Guys please have some mercy for young HIB. If he sees that the powerful, knowledgeable fans of BSK won't give him his own page, he might fall into a depressive rut and quit playing football. You do know that with great power comes great responsibility, you can save a career here....
If he has a weak mentality like his best friend, Kim Min-jae, he probably is demoralized right now by reading some of the comments from Naver/Daum.
So interesting how serious some of you take BSK. To each his own I guess... The way I see it, in the words of The Beatles, let it be. Seems like the majority are against it, and it those stop posting this thread figures to die away organically. Besides, it’s not like the KPA section is over populated with players playing in Europe that would have their threads in danger of spilling over onto page two. It sure would beat the weakly crying tears posts of our boys not even making the bench over the last few years. Also comical how some think not “honoring” players with a thread will penalize and shape up players into only closing K League to Europe or bust.
I also believe HIB is 100% not deserving of his own thread considering his circumstance/the team he moved to .. but that being said it can't hurt to have this thread lying around? what a fckin waste i had hopes for this guy
Holstein Kiel are pushing for promotion to the Bundesliga. You think an MLS team could do that? Suk Hyunjun played in the top flights of the Netherlands, Portugal, Turkey, and France. How is that comparable? Austria and Russia's leagues have at least had decent representation in Europe. I don't recall there being a thread when Suk Hyunjun was in Hungary, and Moon Seonmin's thread while he was in Sweden was similarly ridiculed. You don't need to be anti-MLS to see that this thread is pointless.
HIB will be laughing to the bank as Hodori types furiously to the mods to close the thread. Fr though, thread or no thread hope the kid succeeds. Ik I'll be watching some games to see how he fairs.
[ Laughing to the bank? He's going to be paying Canadian taxes on wages from a team that historically pays poorly. Hell, they pay so poorly that the kids I hire straight out of school make more than the majority on that squad. Sure, he's laughing to the "bank" or whatever. Laughing about how much "bank" he makes after paying Canadian taxes and playing on artificial pitches and flying continuously across a huge land mass and then back flying back to Asia. Let's see how much laughing he'll do after putting that much stain on his body...
did he even have a concrete offer from Europe? If not, then I can't hate on him for going to MLS. Might as well make more money, experience a different culture, and learn to live on his own. But he better gtf out of there in 2 years if he wants a good productive career.
