So what? Significantly there have been more Koreans who moved from K-League to Europe than there are Koreans from jleague. I don't get how this league is so overrated here.
not true for Kim BK & Kim JS. i can't think of any others from recent yrs who moved to EU (Park JS.. of course, clearly got his move to EU because of NT exposure) but most Koreans in J League are tall defensive players and majority of them are awful. signed to J2 or so clubs because they couldn't find clubs in K League i believe.
I think HIB was just an one tournament wonder for Asian Games. Forget about him. We can find better players.
Kim Min Jae just confirmed his transfer to Beijing on Instagram. He said that there were no offers from Europe and (he heard that) there was no concrete offer from Watford either. He is aware of the criticism. Just wondering if/why the Jeonbuk chairman lied about Watford...
If it was all made up story by Han Jun, he should be forbidden of writing a report again.
https://m.sports.naver.com/kfootball/news/read.nhn?oid=076&aid=0003370865&redirect=true The journalists have been quite sneaky. They have edited their articles to now admit that there was no official offer. Now the story is that there was no offer from Watford directly, but some third-party agents supposedly representing Watford’s interests made an enquiry. Baseline, there was no offer. So all the hype for nothing.
Jeonbuk Hyundai defender Kim Min-jae has confirmed that he will move to Beijing Guoan. #kleague— Korea Football News (@KORFootballNews) January 28, 2019
this kim minjae transfer along with the heartless performance in asian cup is helping me realize sports is just business like any other and i have no reason to be emotionally invested. everyone in football are looking out for their individual interests. very small list of players share the passion that fans of the game do. korean footballers in particular often take the few fans they have for granted. i hope these fans turn their back and players get to feel what its like to be a pro athlete in a sport with no supporters
iirc, LJS was hoping to go to Europe earlier but remained due to lack of offers hence remained in K-League while resisting "love-calls" from CSL
Doesnt justify going to China after getting exemption from military service, esp when considered the best defender that represents our NT.. And.. he's only fking 22.
They just trusted the wrong agents. Look at how Suk can find clubs after clubs (remember he had miserably failed in Hungary and Turkey and still could go to Ligue 1). He's got to do something right, doesn't he? K-League teams, their chairmans and all those wanna be agents are just greedy af. And the players are delusional and lazy as well. If you really wanna go to Europe, you'd think twice before signing a contract extension or taking an offer from CSL, and at least try to build in a low release clause or something to make themselves attractive to EU clubs. At least they shouldn't openly dream about EU if they would eventually block their own paths by themselves.
or Korean agents don't have good connection in EU? look at Lee CY, he couldn't find a club til Son HMs German agent helped him. also, not helped by EU scouts & agents ignoring to scout K League. edit - btw, SHJ doesn't have Korean agent anymore based on recent interview. changed agent/agency multiple times too...
