Deportivo Chiantla? This isn't a rumor. And it's a random ass player. Can Phil get his own thread for The Others?
That literally makes no sense. To devalue Mexican players they need to max out the amount of foreigners that can be registered to 3 or 4 which means good foreigners become more valuable and Mexican players are more expendable because the whole league is full of players you can buy to replace one you sold
That's how it used to be, and there was even less Mexicans in Europe back then. That works for Argies because their broke and Europe values Argies more. What I'm proposing is pretty much what Tom Marshall argues for. America sells Raul and Lainez gets a non Mexican to replace them, Chivas held on to Fabian too long, because they couldn't do that.
Cardozo prefiere que Josecarlos Van Rankin se quede en Chivas y no emigre a Europa https://t.co/wJq85wMKlM— Salvador Pérez 🍿🕊️ (@YoSoyChavaPerez) January 23, 2019
Numerous reports say Diego Reyes could be on his way to La Liga. His 6 month time with Fenerbahce could be over as Leganes and Betis have shown interest. The reports claim Leganes is ahead of Betis and Diego could leave soon. As they have made a formal offer. 🇹🇷👉🇪🇸?— Mexican Transfers 🇲🇽 (@MXtransfers) January 28, 2019
Yeah, there's like a billion articles on it. https://www.goal.com/es-co/noticias...-llegar-al-leganes/1ucajk6yvwe991rypp91nxz8uu http://www.espn.com.mx/futbol/nota/_/id/5218927/leganes-hizo-una-oferta-oficial-por-diego-reyes https://as.com/futbol/2019/01/28/primera/1548691179_126298.html http://www.hurriyet.com.tr/sporarena/diego-reyes-leganeste-41097729 https://www.cnnturk.com/spor/futbol/diego-reyes-leganese-gidiyor
I disagree and agree with @rich loc . If you want young, decent Mexicans to go to Europe you need as many foreigners in the league as possible. This makes the Mexican player value drop like a rock because any decent South American becomes an option. Now the young Mexican player has to look for work elsewhere and that includes Europe imo. Since there are so many and no options to play, they make the jump. This does not happen overnight and is more long term scenario. Ideally for something in the middle between no foreigners and all foreigners, you need a rule that is 5/6 max players that are NOT eligible for the NT. That should be the rule, not naturalized or non-naturalized. Base it on NT eligibility instead. This would be more immediate and more balance to having decent exports as well as decent league.
Hope he goes this summer. Luckily Cardozo has no say in the matter. I think Van Rankin is still owned by Pumas
