SK is dominating in the first 30 minutes. Qatar has a few fast counters but could not score. If there's no score in the next 60 minutes, the game will go overtime and maybe PK.

Lame 1st half in South Korea - Qatar.
Not much action. Hopefully it will change.

Something tells me Qatar are going to be first on the score sheet... not a goal, but a red card....

Felix Sanchez did some excellent work with this Qatar team. Their passing is much improved and very importantly they play as a cohesive unit. Something you couldn't say about prior Qatar teams.

You can't say it is undeserved. Qatar had overrall the better performances than South Korea in this tournament and is rightly so now in the semi-finals.

What a day. I'm proud of our heroes. I'm proud of being Qatari. Qatar is truly a powerhouse in Asia now.

Hard luck to the Korean fans. I think Korea should keep their new manager for the next WCQ cycle. They were playing better with him in charge.

On a lighter note, an Iran-Qatar final on Emirati soil, will probably give MBZ a heart attack. :D

Korea have been very poor for their standards in this entire tournament. Struggling againt minnows.

Qatar has been the team of the tournament so far. 5 straight wins, no goals conceeded.

Don't worry. Only one of them will make the Final.

    Well played game by Qatar.
I think this UAE/Australia game will be an absolute cracker. I hope.

so looks like UAE is gonna take it over australia after australia gifted it to them. semifinals will be :

    Iran vs japan
    qatar vs UAE

the tournament is in UAE. they will not want an Iran-qatar final. the refs will do everything they can to prevent Iran from advancing over japan. to a lesser extent, qatar over UAE. this is because while the tournament is in UAE and UAE does not want qatar to go to the final, at the same time, FIFA and AFC will be supporting qatar because they want to justify the world cup being in qatar in 2022 by saying "see, we gave it to a worthy nation, they won/reached the final of the asian cup!"

Doesn't matter we are underdog anyway. Who do you think expect Iran win the title? No one. Japan, Qatar and UAE have the best facilities and talents, we are only here to enjoy the game.

Why are you surprised? I'm not (even though the game isn't over yet as I type). Our inability to score goals lets us down once again. I'm not sure where the answer lies. Its not as if we have obvious players that can come in and fix this.

but you were still a league above this shitty UAE side.

and lol at dirty UAE captain wasting literally 5 minutes faking a broken neck or concussion then rushing back onto the pitch immediately after. i could just imagine the cheating and dirty play these arabs will pull in the next stage. disgusting.

edit: UAE keeper faking injury now. we are in minute 98 when the game should have ended in minute 94.

The grassrolling is off the charts.. nothing new.

Nothing new either with the lack of creativity from Australia. Very few good chances, so not a big surprise with failing to progress. Amazing individual error by Degenek, whom I considered to be the better CB lately.

    Japan/Iran to win the trophy.

well I was looking forward to finally playing australia. i also fancied our chances more against you guys than 12 men arab teams in the final. we gotta get past japan first through of course. Iran vs australia would have been a beautiful final. but now it will be a slow time wasting anti-football lame corrupt ref fest farcical clown show.
