It's dull because we've faced each other way too often than not. But, the clash between Bento and CQ will be very interesting to see, the two have a history with each other, and not in a good way as well.

Just our luck to lose our old CM and now our new CM.

Meh... You gotta give him some time to actually settle in. Bento has been in charge for what? 6 months? 6 games? He probably can't even pronounce half the names in your squad. That's why your performances have been sub-par. He's still discovering the tools available in his toolbox, and misusing it quite a bit based on what I've seen so far. Iran vs Korea in 2 years time as a WCQ would be interesting. But atm, I highly doubt it will be a tactically competitive match.

You must be one of them contrarian type dudes that just has to be different from everybody else. I don't see how any Iranian football fan could hate the most successful manager in Iran's history. He's the longest serving Iran manager for a reason. We need to build a statute of CQ in front of Azadi stadium.

    "Hate CQ".

So you are in the Mayelikodan/Brangoh/GN party? Do you remember when the concept of playing Bahrain, UAE, Qatar would actually terrify us. That was during their era. CQ has our team playing the most organized its played in decades and every foreign pundit/fan sees that as well. Apparently only "experts" in Iran think differently :p

The underdog thing is a famous mindgame from the Sir Alex era.

Lol Iran isn't an underdog in anyone's eyes so I don't know why you guys keep talking about being underdogs.

You guys are really going to miss CQ once he steps down. As a KNT fan I can assure you guys that CQ has taken Iran to a level that I've never seen. I don't think that Iran could realistically have found a better manager than him. He's a perfect stylistic fit with Iran tactically and has the right kind of personality to lead your players. Out of anyone who'd take a national team job in Asia, I can't think of anyone who could be better.

Yeah agree there. CQ did a great job and molded his style of play to fit perfectly well with Iran’s strengths. (Long ball accuracy, sound ball handling skills) and mitigated their weaknesses (speed etc) and just focused on simple direct football.

Wait what happens on the off chance that Qatar win the whole thing? Would the AC runner ups take part in the Confed Cup?

Qatar isn't hosting the confed cup 2021 as of right now. and there's a possibility there will be no more confed cups now on, so we will have to see what happens.

Europe is open borders. When it’s regulated it can work.

You are asking us to do a task that we have been as incapable of doing as you guys for decades.

Iran is the underdogs remember that. Xavi thinks that as well. Xavi is a famous footballer. Iran is the underdog against Japan. We will also be the underdog vs Qatar/Australia/UAE

Doubt it. They won 4 titles including ones in 2011 and 2004. You'd think we would have won at least once in the past 60 years.
