Pretty sure Vietnam gonna replace Thailand as a competent representative from the ASEAN zone. Their Korean manager has done wonders for them.

Dumb decision to award Japan the PK..complete make up call from eariler.
That being said, Japan deserved to go through. Vietnam can only chase the ball for so long.

I think having mixed race players in KNT makes me a very Concerned Korean. I'm sure this one guy would have agreed considering he would say it all the time but sadly, he's not with us now :(

This Iran vs China will going to be a physical match. I expect 2-0 victory for Iran.

Iranians won’t put up with no bs from China. China are like that bully who picks on the weak (SEA nations), but Iran are the big boy China won’t go near in a fair fight.

Well, immigration is a reality and talented mixed kids are a reality as well. You'd rather play a mediocre fully ethnic Korean over a superstar of mixed background for the sake of ethnic purity? That's complete nonsense. The issue is not race, it's culture. That one Zainichi/Jaeilgyopo failed to mesh in because he was a cultural outcast, and I doubt those Joseonjoks playing for the Chinese team would be able to assimilate into the KNT either. I am against multiculturalism in Korea, but I fully support ethnic minorities and mixed kids as long as they are culturally Koreans. Look at Han Hyun Min. That guy is arguably more Korean than all of us combined despite his dark complexion.

The chinese players are clumsy and a step late to the ball. Gonna be a very long game. I expect 4-0 humiliation

Honestly at the rate Korea (lowest birth rate in the world, etc.) is going you're going to have to accept that.

Yea, just look at Australia. After decades of xenophobia and the white Australia policy, the country smartened up and opened up the gates for talented immigrants. Now Awer Mabil is one of Australia's more talented players. South Korea is less than half the size of Japan but it supports more foreign workers as well as refugees. With the increasing amount of international marriages occurring in Korea in consideration as well (a lot of ASEAN and Russian women), we will continue to see more Han Hyun Mins in various fields. It'd be foolish to reject them for the colour of their skin.

Still a super low birthrate for Japan. Korea’s birthrate is shocking and shows that protection works.

Multi culturalism works when it’s regulated. When you migrate to another country and get no support/opportunities to succeed. most often likely you are forced to fend for yourself. that’s when problem arises.

That's just a result of bad policy.

In the end a nation is not its physical boundaries but its people, who share historical, familial, cultural ties that stretch back from generation to generation.
