there was a luncheonette in Brooklyn in bay ridge called Henches. They had a thing called a heavy frosted there I don't really know what's in it but that was good. They was also bakery called Rugens they had an apple pie that was fantastic in that place. There are always places that specialized in good stuff. There is a place here in Brooklyn that made a rice ball that you could get hooked on like a drug. The place is Landies Italian deli on Ave N. If I found myself anywhere near their I had to buy a tray of them Then you have Rao's on 114 street and pleasant Ave. those meat balls holy cow. The only problem with that place is you have to sit at a table to get them. Impossible to get a table unless your an Oscar winning actor or in the Lucchese crime family.
I had my annual McDonald's Shamrock Shake today, but with a twist: I got the new half Shamrock (on the top), half Chocolate (on the bottom) version. I plan to have a full Shamrock Shake nearer to St. Patrick's Day next month. -G
After an inexplicable three-year absence, the Pumpkin Spice milkshake is back at Jack in the Box! I had one yesterday (along with the shake itself, the whipped cream and the cherry on top, they also added gingerbread crumbs on top, something that previous versions didn't have) and will likely have one again on or near Halloween next week. -G
Yikes, it's been so hectic the last few weeks that I hadn't been able to get to it yet. I'll definitely conduct at least one Shamrock Shake taste test this week and will post an update. -G
I finally had my annual McDonald's Shamrock Shake yesterday. It was still very good. I plan to have at least one more on or near St. Patrick's Day this Saturday. -G
Anyone try the watermelon milkshakes from Cookout? They only run from July-Aug or something of that sort. Really good.
Interesting, I was near a Cookout yesterday morning (in Waynesboro Va) - but there was a cute little purple dairy place across the street so I got a chocolate-banana shake there
Not quite a milkshake, but still... Our annual @awrestaurants Root Beer Float Night is Saturday vs. RSL, so Quakes HOFer @JoeCannonGK1 taught his son Joey how to make one. 😂😂 #WeAreSanJoseMore: https://t.co/8FmuantXZ7 pic.twitter.com/3sEhBsnoOR— San Jose Earthquakes (@SJEarthquakes) July 27, 2018 -G
I finally had my annual McDonald's Shamrock Shake today. As always, it was very good. I plan to have at least one more on or near St. Patrick's Day in a few weeks. -G
We hit a McD to try the bacon fries (overrated) and I thought I had seen a kid in a nearby booth with a shamrock shake - made me think of this thread
Arby's makes good shakes; I've been meaning to go get one of the orange cream shakes, I see it's back for the summer.
I finally had my annual McDonald's Shamrock Shake today (celebrating its 50th anniversary), as well as the new Oreo Shamrock McFlurry. They were both very good. I plan to have at least one more of each on or near St. Patrick's Day in a few weeks. -G
Seeing as today is St. Patrick's Day, I'll have to try either or both again today. However, I'll have to find something green to wear first (which I'm not sure that I do), lest I be pinched today for not doing so. -G
For some reason, Jack in the Box doesn't seem to have a Pumpkin Spice milkshake this year , but Wienerschnitzel does (both a regular version and an Oreo Cookie version). I had the Oreo Cookie Pumpkin Spice milkshake today and will likely have one again on or near Halloween next week. -G
Combining Oreo Cookie and Pumpkin Spice into a single milkshake seems threatening to the space-time continuum.
After a longer-than-usual delay, I finally had my annual McDonald's Shamrock Shake late last week and an Oreo Shamrock McFlurry yesterday. Just as before, they were both very good. I plan to have at least one more of each on or near St. Patrick's Day next week. -G
