Stay safe! Here in ATL so far it's cold and drizzling. Good chance of at least ice on the roads tonight and certainly not an optimal setting for tailgating. We'll see how it evolves throughout the day. Me suspects the roof will be in the closed position tonight.
As much as Atlanta fans have annoyed me lately, what with their corporate backed "tifo", and their ignorance about away ticket allocations... I just can't root for Portland... At least I can laugh at someone at the end of the game. And that's all that matters at this point.
More pictures of snow covered trees to show that I'm supporting Portland today. Also, still snowing in freaking Lubbock with 6" on my driveway and sidewalk, and 8"-11" measured in different parts of my yard.
Sitting at a rec center in kit and scarf for my daughter's class. Was up until 3:30am last night. Too amped to sleep.
Rain and cold means the MLS Cup Fan Experience area currently rocking with maybe 500 people. Brad Friedel makes an appearance at one of the booths and the murmur was deafening. So far the Portland and Atlanta faithful mingling together well in CNN plaza.
For normal Atlanta matches the gates open up 2.5 hrs before kickoff. For MLS cup in the rain, with mobile tickets only? Just 2 hours. Because MLS.
Apparently at the last minute ATL FO renegged on the agreement to allow the TA to bring in one of their big drums after they paid to have it shipped all the way from Portland. I hope they at least cover the costs of getting that thing transported.
Damn that rain, its as if Seattle was there... thankfully the Stadium will keep the rain out of Mls Cup (again like Seattle)
What a ridiculous tweet by the Timbers supporters. I wish them pain, suffering, embarrassment, long beer lines, long bathroom lines, really slow commutes, etc etc.
Huh? They had a security conference call and got the drums cleared, shipped by airplane for 2,500 miles and then told only one.
