Rumor has it Messi was diagnosed as a child by the legendary developmental pediatrician, Romario himself.
There have been "unconfirmed reports" and lots of resultant speculation on this for a while. I have no idea if there's any credibility to those reports, but it's my inexpert opinion having read a few books on Messi that some journalists have attempted to say it without saying it, if you know what I mean.
It makes total sense, he mentally processes the game at a level no other player has reached...... outside of Maradona being coked up half of the time

This ladies and gentlemen is why I am obsessed with Spanish system........we need as many of our youth players in it as we can.

I watched most of this game and Akale played the full 90. This is the first extended look I've had of his game and I was very impressed with his dribbling, close control, and overall ability in tight spaces. He didn't have any goals or assists but was involved in the buildup to the third goal. The defending in this game was very poor and players had a lot of time on the ball. I was surprised by how much responsibility Akale seemed to have (considering how up and down his minutes with the B team have been) -- he the focal point of many attacks and was on the ball a lot and took most of the set pieces. One thing I noticed was that the weight of his passes when trying to put a man through on goal was consistently just slightly off (usually underhit). He could have had 2-3 assists with just a bit more weight on his passes. The commentators really emphasized him trying to do much and not picking out the easy pass towards the end of the game when had a breakaway out wide and had several men available in the box but he tried to do it himself and waited too long before releasing the ball. He came close to a spectacular goal where he maneuvered through 4 defenders and cut to his left foot before just missing on a brilliant effort from outside of the box. There's a lot of things to like about his game and I'm definitely intrigued by his potential.
@Giggsy1986 ... what's his path from here? Is the next step to the first team, or a loan? Should we expect it this season? Very exciting player and different to anyone else we have in the pool... but for that reason and because we don't tend to see a lot of US-eligible players develop in Spain, many of us may not know what to expect (I know I don't)
If he keeps up this form he will be with the first team. If his form dips he will be with the B team next year which will be fine because they will most likely get promoted to the second division
This group of B players are Villarrwa is a poor mans Man united class of 92 they’ve won at every level together and are truly dominating the third division. They just promoted Samu to the first team and his valuation is somewhere between 50-80 million.
Is he going to be able to play in the 2nd Division as far as nationality rules go? He should be close by now
