Next Fulham game is at home vs. Manchester United on the 13th, which is a Monday evening game.

A little history lesson from just last year from the newer Fulham fans.

The match is live on Fox Sports World at 2PM CST next Monday. There is a replay at 7PM CST the same night.
United is playing well right now. I would think Cookie is going to go with the 4-4-2 again. I am reading conflicting reports about Boa Morte. Some places I read he will play, others I hear he won't. More on this match as the week progresses.

Big match for Fulham.Man Utd are coming into the match playing the best football in the League or at least tied with Scum. They are dominating their matches and not letting goals in. We need to play better than we did against Scum much better. Yes that was a great performance but, as of late Man Utd are a monster on a mission and that mission is win the Premiership.Fulham could win this match but, its gonna take alot to win it. I say 2-1 for Fulham if we play like we can. I say 4-0 to Man Utd if we play like we did against Blackburn.

No doubt this will be a tough match for Fulham. It will help tremendously if Boa Morte gets back. United's defense is playing very well right now, but Van Nistelrooy is nicked up. Fulham just about earned a draw versus the Scum and that bodes well.

Yes I support the Cottagers next Monday. It will be tough but they can do it.
Just need to watch out for all the elbows thrown midfield by Keane and Scholes.

maybe they can replace van nistelrooy with a donkey that dives, kicks other people and screams at the ref. maybe the ball will bounce of the donkey and go in the goal and Manchester United fans will proclaim him the best attacking donkey in Europe.

Looks as if I now have the day off Monday and will find myself in NYC. I will also be watching the match live, from a Manchester United bar...but wearing my fulham colors proudly of course.

Lets hope the 4-4-2 can bring out a dramatic win for the whites this time around...

    volz-----Zesh----Pearce----Boca

    Steeeed----Papa----Leggy----Boa

    -------Mcbride-----Cole------

I'm not sure about the midfielders but there you go.

Is Knight back for this one? Everyone's down on him but I'd take my chances with him rather than Pearce. I gather Pearce did well against Norwich but he's too slow for ManU. Otherwise your lineup looks good.

Knight is back. In fact he could have played in the Norwich City match. However, as Fulham has struggled, one of the main things is their lack of experience in the back. I think both Zat and Zesh are better than Pearce, but I think Cookie is putting him back there for his experience. Whether or not Pearce remains in the lineup is something we do not know. I would not be surprised if he stays there. We need some experience in the back to bolster the defense.

Maybe it wasnt for the experience maybe it was to send a message to Knight.Rehman has done well and before Pearce went out with injury he was in the center where Rehman is now playing and now he has took Knights place in the starting 11. If Coleman wanted to go for experince he would of took out Rehman and left Knight in the starting 11.

Perhaps you are right. However, I think Coleman is right now of the belief that if it ain't broke, don't fix it. We saw the same thing happen to Van Der Sar that is now happening to Knight. If the team wins a game, the same lineup plays the next game. Once the team loses or someone gets hurt, then Knight will come back in.

If memory serves me correctly, Volz is out of this match with a one match suspension for his 5th yellow card in the Norwich City match. Leaves a gap back there. Does Green come in for him? Can he play that side?

Didnt Green play LB when he was playing it couldnt of been RB because Volz was playing? Can Rehman play RB? If so then you can have Green play at the Left Boca in Center and Pearce or Knight in center and Rehman at the right.

Green did play left back. You are correct. I am not sure if Rehman can play on the left or right even. I doubt he can, but I could be wrong.

Excerpts from Cookie's press conference this morning. Interesting the part at the bottom about the two players Fulham have been eyeing for possible moves in January. Also, the fact that he said he has money to play with is always nice.

    I love this part...

Quoting Cookie:"Will we get a phone call? Who knows? Will we get an offer? Who knows? Will Steed move from Fulham? Not unless it suits Fulham."

Translation: "To all premiership teams, F@#ck off! Thank you for your time."

Managers say things trying to cover up what they actually want to say way too much. Coleman is probably thinking what Mike said but, he should just say it and get his 10,000 pound fine.
