Can't believe that Loew still keeps the job.
Can't remember a worse year for the NT. Even 2000 was probably better.

I thought we controlled the midfield yesterday Very well. 2 CMs but we always have an extra defender for covering the midfield

Until 80th min, they didn’t have much chance and we have many wasted ones. I don’t think the problem is at midfield but the finishing of front three. Sane n Werner both wasted easy chances.

I would keep the 343 for now n replace Kehrer with a proper RWB, then move Havertz up top. Havertz can do the hold up play, build-up n is better physical presence than other three, while being just as fast. When Havertz drops back for build up play, the two “wingers” move up n become a two -striker 3-4-1-2 formation with Werne/Sane n Gnabry up top

3 CBs ( with an extra physically strong CB) n Kimmich (mobile, tough n good tackler) is the best way to cover Kroos n utilise his strengths. He had a great game

The last two conceded goals were personal errors rather than tactical in my opinion

I agree with you Havertz as 10, same position as Ozil played for the national team, in this position, he can manage the attack, deliver the final pass, or come in behind to score...

this is sound. you are particularly right about the finishing of the front 3, particular Sane and Werner (Gnarby is a very good finisher though). Yes the two scored, but they still haven't convinced me as a natural finisher, Werner can sometimes have a good shot, but most of the times his decision making and ball controlling skills still let him down..
as for Havertz playing up front, we have discussed this a lot already, i actually think it might be a good idea, though the condition is that he shouldn't be played as a traditional striker limiting himself inside penalty box, I remember at one stage the NT played Ozil up front without a tipical striker and Ozil scored quite lots goals in the qualification group matches for the world cup, so putting Havertz up front like that for the time being when we don't have a very good striker might be a sound idea. Though I think Stindle can do the job very good in this transition period and I don't understand Loew hasn't called him recently. In the long run, ideally of course we would want to see very good traditional striker emerges...

People who watched the Russia match thought this way.

He shouldn’t be dropping too deep anymore

Havertz should only be considered an option at 9 for the NT if he is playing there regularly for Leverkusen.

Haha so he doesn’t have to play anywhere

We have plenty of options at CM. And the Kimmich Kroos pairing is working

If Havertz can play CF at NT, Leverkusen. Will consider it too so it’s a mutual thing

Basically it's ideal if Portugal wins against Poland

I agree, kimmich should be at right back as kherer looks a bit limited as a wing back, young khedira should be play as a holding midfielder as he's got all the attributes

    Maybe

    Kimmich- Emre Can/R.Khedira -Kroos -Schulz
    ——Reus/Gnabry——-Havertz——Sane

Consider strikers no longer limit themselves in penalty box, also needa get involved in pressing, winning duels n build-up/hold-up play... I think Havertz as striker doesn’t even need to be prolific because the scoring threats should be diversed

I think Emre Can can be an integral part of the team once he’s back.

I am not convinced by Emre Can, his ball protection skill, decision making and passing skill are not there yet. his work rate is not high either as number 6. He is very inconsistent. He only had a few good games in confederation cup when he showed his strength taking the ball driving forward....after that, I haven't seen a complete dominate game by him either in cup level or NT. He has potential, but at the moment I can't see him would do a better job than Kimmich

Can makes far to many mistakes in dangerous areas, but I'd definitely back r.khedira

  17. How did Sane manage to get so tired in this slow paced match he had to be taken off. He's used to the EPL speed and physical demands.

Does not matter what pot we are in, we can't even beat South Korea so first , second third pots makes no difference

he was not tired, in the first half, Gnaby is acting a role as a build up striker, Gnaby is good at tthat role with his touch and ball protection, like his assit for sane last mactch against the russian and the assit for werner last night demonstrates that, once Gnaby was taken off, Sane lost the support, both Muller and Sane's touch or build up play is not great, hence Sane became quiet, disappeared from the game....

Portugal are useless as they end up 10 men after a straight red card and a PK to Poland. Game ends 1-1.

and with that we are basically in Pot B for the Euro qualifiers, which means we will end up with a big team in our group.

If we are in the same group as Croatia or Poland then they are technically not a big team...

People in this forum is mentioning a lot about Rani Khedira these days...is he really playing that good for Augsburg or people are talking about him for his last name being Khedira or we are so out of option in defensive midfield department that he is suddenly being seen as a savior ?

R.Khedira is overall solid and consistent player, nothing amazing or world class.

just a possible option, not "he must be called up" player.

Gundo wasn't picked because he came back in Nov 7. Which was 2 days before Low announced his squad. Sure in his comeback he had 1 goal and 1 assist in 2 games before Internationals but it was already too late.

if fit, very likely call up for March.
