Fred misses a sitter and then we're countered because Matic doesn't cover a man or break up a passing lane. Instead he just stands there as he's bypassed. ********ing useless.

Matic should have fouled or stopped the pass from going wide and how is he beaten after Shaw is beaten?!?

 

Sanchez has been pretty good leading the line I think

 

I hope we can all agree now that Martial's finishing is of vastly greater importance than his dribbling.

As for Fred missing the sitter, he has only one goal in his career for a reason.

 

I mean he did follow the play the whole length of the field, cover for an out of position defender, and then win the tackle.

 

Great finish from Martial. Blatant handball in the buildup but didn't really affect the goal.

The one where Matic was easily outmanoeuvred initially and then did exactly what I just said.

 

Pogba playing the near post and as anyone with half a ********ing brain could see, it is a far better strategy than asking him to mark, as he's made multiple clearing headers.

 

HT 1-1 and lucky to be level given how poor we were for first half-hour.

Seem to finally have some shape towards the end of the half.

 

Very clear to me this team had no structure. Pogba needs to step up. Fred is trying early balls which is good and helpful, but he needs to reign it in and not always attempt to hit the home run. Matic is useless and our press is a mess.

Smalling is having a bad game and our system of playing deep AND asking Smalling to cover rather than play alongside Lindelof is suicidal given Wilson's pace and movement.

Our building from the back is labored and severely hampered by the lack of movement and motivation. Need Herrera.

 

I really really want to see Fred and Ander together in a team that presses.

 

Of course Fred is withdrawn and not Matic!!! I like Rashford for Mata.
