    US Soccer is now listing 5, as well. They listed 7:30 yesterday.

    Wiki has the 20-man squad for Puerto Rico, though not much else.

    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Puerto_Rico_national_under-20_football_team

    A quick count by birth year:
    1999 = 5
    2000 = 11
    2001 = 4

    Six players play for Bayamon, one for Metropolitan, and one for Don Bosco - all clubs in Puerto Rico; one GK plays in Uruguay; ten players play for US colleges (mostly small schools, but Edric Toro plays at Wake Forest); and one plays for the Houston Dynamo Academy.

    Has the players' full names and positions.

    This is OT, but if Puerto Rico ever becomes a US state (big IF), would they still have their own soccer federation? It makes sense for unincorporated territories like American Samoa and USVI to have their own Federations, but not if they became states (and as of right now only PR can "qualify" with ~3.5 million people), IMO...

    Can we make Ricky Martin or J-Lo jokes?

    But anyway, if we're hoping to qualify with this roster selection, we're just Livin la Vida Loca

    This is the lineup Sciaretta projected in his article. I'd expect this lineup with Perez replacing Lindsey (who has yet to be released).

    I don't agree with the lineup though. If you are going to use Real (I'd prefer we don't), put him at LCB, so he's taking Rogers spot. I think the three weak links on the back line are Rogers, Real and Perez. Gloster and Araujo should both be in the lineup.

    Midfield looks about as good as its going to get. I don't understand Ramos opinion of Pomykal. I don't think Amaya's current ability is even close to Pomykal's, nor do I believe Rennicks is better than Akinola.

    It's hard for me to get my head around how you deploy such a short roster for five matches in eight days. Presumably the game is to try to get to T&T on Nov. 5 with the the most possible options remaining, given health, availability, and discipline. Every choice Ramos makes today and on Saturday should be considered in that context. I tend to suspect that PR will be the next-most-difficult match, but that's just a guess.

    Combining old posts from the general thread ...

    Nicely symmetric, if overly simplified, but that approach looks about right, as an initial approach, although we might obviously need to adjust on the fly.

    We need to plan for success, understanding that when we win Group A we won't play again until November 16 - and then with an 'enhanced' squad - allowing plenty of time to rest (and integrate the new arrivals).

    USSF is incapable of that. You should know that by now.

    I was thinking the same thing, but SKC plays on Sunday. If Vermes is going to recall him for that game, does he want him playing 90 minutes three days prior?

    At the same time, he's still there, and if they were going to recall him without him playing today, I figure he would've already been recalled. Maybe he will play today.

    I assume that they would be rolled into US Soccer at the FIFA level, but might be able to hang around as a Concacaf member, similar to Guadeloupe, Martinique, and French Guiana.

    That’s likely Real or Gloster at CB. Two left-footed CB’s.

    The midfield is probably a block of two holding guys with Mendez as a 10. I would not be surprised if we see Servania play further forward than Mendez though with Mendez dictating the tempo of possession in CM, while Servania contributes more to the attack.

    Not sure about the forward alignment other than Pomykal is playing winger. I’ve seen Akinola and Rennicks play both positions.

    The other possibility is a diamond midfield with both playing as forwards, while one of Mendez and Pomykal is a wide CM and the other plays as a true 10.

    Edit: Oh I think it was a own-goal actually. But good ball from paxton anyways

    Goal from Alex Mendez in the 11th minute after some good build-up on the wing by Lindsey and Rennick.
