Maybe you guys don't have a fully nuanced understanding of the word tier...here's a definition for you:

    tier
    /ˈtir/
    noun
    noun: tier; plural noun: tiers
    1. a row or level of a structure, typically one of a series of rows placed one above the other and successively receding or diminishing in size.
      "a tier of seats"
      synonyms: row, line; More

      • one of a number of successively overlapping ruffles or flounces on a garment.
      • a level or grade within the hierarchy of an organization or system.
"companies have taken out a tier of management to save money"
synonyms: grade, gradation, echelon, rank, stratum, level, rung on the ladder
"the most senior tier of management"
Is Pulisic the #1 player in the world? no. I would never try to argue that.

But is there any competition or league he couldn't compete in and play well in?

    No.

He's done well in every competition there is. U17 world cup. USMNT. Bundesliga. Champions League. In all of those competitions, he's played well and showed he's able to make a positive impact.

Therefore, there isn't a tier or class of player that is above him. period.

Freddy Adu, Rubio Rubin, Giovani Dos Santos, Carlos Vela. All had promising starts and amounted to nothing more than average. Pulisic is injury prone at such a young age, already. He starting look average. It’s okay. Enjoy your average player.

Neymar has 6 world cup goals. he's gonna be 30 next world cup.

Messi had 6 world cup goals in 19 games

    clint dempsey had 4.

    landon donovan had 5.

christiano ronaldo had 7 in 4 world cups (only 3 total in his first 3 world cups)...

chicharito and luis hernandez had 4 each - for first place in mexico history at the world cup.

none of them won a world cup....I guess all of these players are average too.....

I didn’t mention anything about the World Cup. Enjoy your average injury prone midfielder who hasn’t now lost his place to a much better Englishman.

I guess he’s better than the typical Nad but that’s not something to write home about

Pulishit will be MLS bound in the next 3-5 years

A good European player is by no means a shoe in success for a national team Fabian Johnson was a way better player at his club than with the US. Also, Pulisic has yet to play well against the CONCACAF big boys, Mexico and Costa Rica. Donovan never succeeded in Europe but he pretty much fireman carried the US team into international relevancy.

fabian johnson had a pretty good world cup in brazil, imo but i agree he never became what he couldve for the USMNT.

you're right - there's no gaurantees of anything - things change very quickly in international soccer - even the success of the players i listed above is exceptional, all things considered....there's no gauranee pulisic will ever play in even 1 world cup game at this point.

in pulisic's case he has 9 goals and 7 assists in 21 appearances for the USMNT as a teenage midfielder - his level of success is unprecedented for the USA. Donovan himself has said that he was no where near where pulisic is at his age....there's no reason to believe it wont continue but i understand why you guys hate CP - if he was a mexican I would be scared too.....

there's no gaurantees about the future - most people fail - so predicting failure is not revolutionary - it is conservative and small-minded, imo....it is the "easy way out".....you'll be right almost 100% of the time too...b/c even your heroes like chicharito could considered "failures" at the world cup level....

LOL Look Bundesliga is a league for young talent and isn't the best defensively. It's an attackers league. He wouldn't have nearly the same stats trying to play in the EPL or La Liga at age 19. He has shown that when he faces prime opposition or even good opposition he's invisible. We will see where he ends up in 5 years. The germans are quickly phasing him out with the rise of Jadon Sancho, why? Because Sancho is a much smarter player who doesn't solely rely on speed like CP.
