It seems that the only MLS Original Ten team never to have won the MLS Wooden Spoon is Kansas City.

What clubs have the biggest differentials of Shields - Spoons? Either the Red Bulls, who have 2 of each, or Atlanta, who has none of each, will be +1 after Sunday.

I'm shocked at how few spoons the Rapids have... (won? earned? acquired? What is the verb?). We are so bad so many seasons, yet not the worst. The Rapids even suck at being bad.

It wasn't very helpful for us since, except for 2000, our Wooden Spoon winning seasons were followed by expansion seasons (including this season) and thus we didn't (and won't) even receive the first overall pick in the following season's MLS SuperDraft. :(

But were you entertained? The Rapids were entertainingly incompetent most of the season; and then, weirdly, entertainingly good for like 3 games in early August. Then terrible again. But I would also like historically bad. Whenever we were on the verge of breaking the MLS loosing streak record, we would win, or tie.

The Red Bulls could be the first club to have three Shields and two Spoons.

No club has at least two of one and none of the other. What is more likely next season, a Shield for SKC or a Spoon for Colorado?
