I don’t know where you got this data from, I only saw him play and I don’t think he is that kind explosive guy, 35km per hour doesn’t mean he can run fast in short distance

I think you guys should forget about the idea of putting hope in werner, how many times he fails until people realize that he is not top quality forward? Many times he had opportunities in panelty box and I only saw him panic

That link didn’t say the data was from 30 meters test, how do you know it is for 30 meters testing?

Also I think he is way too thin to be the front guy, I would choose Gnabry to be the central forward instead of haverz

Gnabry is still improving and he surprised me but I wouldn't call him the better talent. Sane has the better tools, Gnabry showed better decision making overall in this game, though. But Gnabry, in contrast to talents that didn't turn out as promised like Draxler, seems to be better at utilizing his abilities to get closer to his potential even if his ceiling, at least at the moment, isn't one of those top tier talents. I hope that this is something that Löw takes into account as well besides pure talent. Gnabry bringing 80-90% of his potential on the field is miles better than a Draxler that can consistently reach only 70% of his peak.

    He is 188cm and 82kg

Still young at 19 years old, many possibilities. If he can gain 5-6 extra kilos , I can’t see why not.

I actually technically Gnabry is better than sane, sane has really awful touch of ball, and the passing is not accurate at all, that more or less shows he has problems in the basic skills

Sane lost the balls so many times today, and his final passing is abysmal, there was a clear scoring opportunity if he passed the ball correctly to werner today, Germany would have 2:0 up in first half

He never gets a chance to play. Can’t blame him for trying to hard and showing some nerves.

This France team is just mediocre to me (the France 1998 WC winner team was much better). But amazing how much LUCK is in this current France team side, no matter how outplayed they got, they always manage to get a drawn or win at the end.

I really don't want to see Germany relegate to group B. Hope you guys win next month match.

^^^ THANK YOU. This, I thought I was the only one that see it like this.

Not only Sane lost the ball many times today, but there times when I saw him right at the net, he could at least try to shot but he didn't, it like he afraid of something. I think he nervous when he get near the net.

No matter how much others praise Sane. To me, Sane still doesn't have enough experience. I agree with Low on this. In fact, I never find Sane to be an awesome soccer player anyways.

a bit too much Werner and Sane criticism. Do people forget our only goal came from Sane?:p

and do people expect Sane and Werner who still played well enough and still have tons of room to improve to destroy World Champions France? lol.

irony is that had Sane made that pass to Werner better and had he scored than 0 complaints would exist about both players.

both of these 2 players are still on the rawish side but won't be forever and Werner finally played in the middle.

The attacking trio needs more time together. We always change the players, before it was Muller and Reus up top with Werner on the wings than it Muller and Uth and now Sane and Gnabry. Next Internationals, Reus is back too, a lack of consistency.

I agree with those that said Germany had one of their best halves in a ages in the 1st half. Sane should've had a goal or two, but he supercharged the offense. Gnaby looked great too. 2nd half was another story and back to the Germany of old - slow, lethargic and boring. Loew is still toast, one good half doesn't save your ass.

France was playing their main team and regulars who've played together for awhile now.

while we had Schulz in his 2nd cap, Kehrer in his 1st start for the NT. Sule who is inconsistent between starting and not starting. Werner playing striker first time in awhile, Gnabry played his 1st game for Germany since 2016, Sane his 1st start since pre-WC friendlies.

and we had Boa, Rudiger, Havertz, Reus, Goretzka all ruled out before/during the International break.

the fact that we almost won this and dominated the 1st half and some stretches of the 2nd and France needed a goal out of nowhere and a soft PK to win, shows that we are getting closer to the right track. Although Low still needs to go.

I'm starting to think from now on we should really should play 5 at the back. Defensively it's more sound and we seem to dominate more. Issue with 4 at the back is that as long as Low is coach, too much advancing/high line always seem to happen which makes counters too easy. 4 at the back vs the Dutch and we could have lost 5-0 or 6-0 just from counters.

concerning Werner I would still pick him but the real issue is that we need a 2nd striker option that could be beneficial to the team. Maybe some games start that other striker and others Werner (sub) depending on who the opponent is.

we've always had at the min 2 effective strikers or somewhat effective. Now it seems like we are lacking. There is no more Klose to save our behind.

Uth wasn't bad but not sure if he's the right man or not. Currently leaning towards not. Based on passed selection, the options seem to be Petersen, Stindl, Uth. Kuntz and Fischer have both called for Selke to be nominated.

speaking of Klose, I don't think any of the current options will ever be as influential as Klose played 137 games for Germany. Overall majority of these games he was the starter on the team. Between his presence, goals/assists, build up play, heading abilities etc was too influential. Seems far more likely from the current crop that we will need more than 1 person for the job.

we needed goals in 2nd half and Low throws in out of form Muller, waste of space Draxler taking over Sane (lol) and Brandt. What we really needed was a striker option.

Why wait? We potentially can’t do any worse right now. Let’s just write this off as a rebuilding period. Remember how young the 2014 core was in ‘06? There was much to be excited about after the „Sommermärche“

Remember when Germany was revered for their clinical finishing in front of the goal? It didn't matter how poor they were they would always find a way. They still haven't been able to replace Miroslav Klose...they desperately need a player like him.

You know it's sad times when a Volga German castaway on team Ruskie like Roman Neustädter is more clinical than anyone on die Mannschaft right now.

I just don't see this team fighting back from a goal or two down.
    That mental tenacity is missing.

Also, Loew's comments after every game baffle me. Its as if he's confused. The objective of the game is to win. Not to 'dominate for long stretches of time'.

Like someone else also mentioned a few posts ago, this French team is not unbeatable.

This game was a copy of the EC 16 qualifier vs Poland. The one in Warsaw.

This sort of 3-4-3 doesn't work. A 4-3-3 suits this team better.
Kimmich is a good midfielder but at right back did very well in the past with the nt, so i would play him there.
In the midfield Low should bring back Weigl, he would make a good midfield with Kroos and Goretzka/Havertz.
Süle always performs well, it's a shame that he plays only when the others are injured.

I see a lot of unjust criticism of last night's performance, remember we were playing the world champions in their backyard who have a experience and a high quality side, once the chemistry of our youngsters settles then I'm convinced germany will rightfully be back at the helm of football

I think Loew screwed up the 2nd half

It was clear France were beginning to dominate - taking off Sane was stupid

Needed to get a bit more control to compete in midfield

Sane's pace was still a major asset and out ball
