Yesterday ESPN+ announced the addition of the Danish, Swedish, and Indian leagues and the Italian cup competitions.

DirecTV Now allows 2 concurrent streams. A third one can be purchased for $5 per month. My daughter occasionally uses one of my streams to watch shows while at grad school. I think Playstation Vue uses a similar system, but the limit is higher... Maybe 3 or 4 concurrent streams.

But, I can access the streams from a number of devices... Three apple TVs, an iPhone, web browser, etc. Just not more than 2 at any given time.

Sling offers 1 stream on one package and 3 streams on the other package.
Netflix also has multiple stream options. The one I am on allows 2 streams and I believe they have a 4 stream option.

All the streaming services I know of are offering more than one stream.

I think the other important point is that you can use multiple devices, just not simultaneously. I watch at home on the big screen using the apple tv, or out and about with the phone. Of course, the latter requires one of these...

I unsubscribed from 1 October. I watch all the sports I want already with my satellite tv subscription, and even $5 was more than I wanted to spend to not watch another system.

    Me gusta ESPN+.
Me gusta FUBO.tv tambien pero no hay S.A.P.

The worst thing about ESPN+ is that as a cord-cutter I have to pay for Sling to get it but I don't need Sling as everything on FUBO.

You don't have to pay for any other service to get ESPN+. It is a direct to consumer service. You do have to pay for another service to get access to ESPN, ESPN2 and their other channels but not ESPN+.

I’m assuming that you’re asking if you can get ESPN games on ESPN+. The answer is no. It’s an add-on package, not a replacement.

I'd answer slightly differently... You can watch ESPN games using the ESPN app, but you will need to sign in to your TV provider. If you don't have ESPN in your TV package, you can't watch the game.

I think anything on ESPN channel included in a TV package like SEC Network, Longhorn Network, ESPNU, ESPN News, etc. require a TV package that include the network to be able to watch.

But, yes, ESPN+ is an over the top package that provides content not available on the other ESPN networks.

Five or so years ago, the big issue for TV providers was getting authentication included in carriage agreements to allow customers to access content on things like phones and tablets. Now, you can watch content anywhere from most channels on these devices. I've had my phone showing a soccer game at a sports bar while there with friends watching college football. Every tv in the place was showing college football and there wasn't a TV available for the USL or MLS game I was interested in following.

Others have answered but you seen confused. ESPN+ is a separate subscription and requires no other service to get. ESPN+ content is completely different than content on ESPN cable channels. Streaming any content that is broadcast ESPN cables channels (ESPN, ESPN2, sec network, etc) requires logging in to the ESPN app via your TV provider account and you must have access to those channels as part of your TV package.
You use the same ESPN app to access both ESPN+ and ESPN cable channels streaming. This is where the confusion comes in. You can authenticate to that app with both your ESPN account (ESPN+) and your TV provider.

You can buy ESPN+ through the ESPN app. There is no cost to just use the ESPN app

I'm watching a game on Roku, one on my Android and one on my PC. Does that mean I'm paying too much money?

I understand that Spectrum is doing the same thing. They have a streaming version of their television service that was introduced years ago (back when they were Time Warner) for their cable subscribers, so if you got your internet from them as well, you could watch TV anywhere in your house via your phone/tablet/computer. Now I've heard they are selling access to the streaming app as an add-on for internet-only customers.

As for ESPN+, I'm mildly disappointed (albeit not surprised) by the MLS viewing experience. I really miss the features of the old MLS Live player, and I really really miss 20-minute condensed games. I tried the 10-minute versions on the MLS app, but they're just too rushed.

That being said, I like the service. It costs less than MLS Live did and you get so much stuff. I've been watching rugby and Canadian Football cuz, y'know, why not?

Does anyone know if any of the playoffs are going to be on ESPN+, or are they all going to be national broadcasts?

It depends on how you read the schedule. The MLS release says that all four knockout round games will be on UniMas but two of them will also be on ESPN2 and FS1in English. Maybe the other two will be on ESPN+ in English. But I wouldn't count on it. All of the other rounds will be on broadcast TV.

Only the final will be on broadcast TV, but the rest will be on cable (ESPN/FS1).

    Sorry. I should have specified.

The UniMas games are broadcast over the air in some cities but only available via cable/streaming in others. The ESPN/ESPN2/ESPN Deportes/FS1/FOX Deportes games are primarily available via cable/satellite transmissions but also streaming in most cases.

The Final is on broadcast FOX which many/most people view via cable or satellite and can also be streamed AND on UniMas over the air or on cable or streamed.

Your mileage may vary in Canada.

I unsubscribed yesterday. The games became unwatchable after my computer froze up on a frequent basis. Sunday it was RSL at Portland after 9 minutes. I chalked that up to the system not being able to handle all the traffic on the site since it was one of the most compelling games going on in the Western Conference.

On Monday, it froze up after 35 minutes of watching Sassuolo at Sampdoria. I assumed only an infinitesimal fraction of people would have been interested in that contest compared to the Salt Lake-Timbers affair. On both days, it was impossible to refresh the page or get out of what I was watching and switch to another game.

I got a confirmation e-mail that I had cancelled. My subscription will show up on my October and November bills, but shouldn't in December, so we'll see.
At first, I thought it might be my computer that was malfunctioning, but I can watch movies and other videos from other sites without any glitches, so the decision to unsubscribe was pretty easy to make.
