Wow, just watched the game. Saw absolutely NOTHING going forward from Italy today. No inventiveness, creativity, lack-lustre passing, no speed. Portugal were the better team no doubt, much more organized, speedy, crisper passing and way more dangerous on the counter attack. From the last 2 performances, I feel like we have a long way to go...

I put all the blame on Mancini's inter the club who started the whole trend of not playing any italians...how ironic isnt it. Sooner or later these actions have come to bite Italy in the ass.
Italy lost to a better team. They out worked us and out played us simple as that. I do see a glimmer of hope for the future and I attribute the poor performance to the fact that the league just started and the guys are in horrible shape. It's hard to watch this flat footed Azzurri squad who is bereft of any creativity and can't score a damn goal.
We lack creativity not talent, we've already hit rock bottom so things can either stay the same or improve.

I think I've said this numerous time in the past, half these guys haven't played together before. They're not going to win the world cup playing with each other once. Mancini tried a new lineup rather than tweaking the last one and building on the experience. It is what it is.
I couldn't find a Nation League: Italy vs Portugal, so hoping if I can comment about the match here since it Italy related anyways. I'm an Italy fan through and through, forever will be Italy fan, regardless of how good or how terrible we perform. Even if we never make it to the World Cup qualifiers again, I'm still Italy fan. But guys, I'm so so sad today seeing our performance against Portugal. Every freaking time I look at the TV all I see is Portugal running through our side of the net and try to shot. Like everytime I look at the TV in the first half, this is literally all I see. I know sooner or later Portugal will score if we keep let them get the ball and run through our field like this. It seem like we show no urgency, like hell we doesn't care if we win or not. I just don't see the motivation to win and urgency in our team in this match.. Dude, we conceded 1 goal and 70 minutes in, 80 minutes in, heck even at 90 minutes mark, we still not showing urgency. I mean really really? I would be bursting my butt once I see you conceded 1 goal. Hell, if it weren't for our super helpful goal keeper that keep save and save us, Portugal would have score more, given so soo many time they aim at our net. I really love Italy, but guys, at this rate, we will drop to League B. Look, if we keep perform like how we perform today against Portugal, perhaps League B is where we should be as of now. And Portugal deserve to win, clearly they deserve it in today's game. And what the heck is wrong with our coach? Why he decided it must be this match for him to try something new? Look I'm all for trying something new okay. But dude, this is NOT a Friendlies. Does he want us to drop to League B or what? If he "must" try something new, why can't he just wait till a Friendlies and try it? What the heck man. I really really hope before I become old I can see Italy come back to how we once were.
