Kepa’s kicks are like a cannon finding it’s range - he’s missing Morata completely right now.

    Penalty!

Finally saw that at the 30 minute mark. Was thinking the same thing. Let Pedro and Willian get after something.

Heh, cheeky from Jorginho. Nice touch by Barkley to get the ball to Alonso, to be fair.

So that's why we pay the big money for a keeper! It's all of the goals he's going to score :D

I'll take this. Refreshing to see a side who wants the ball. Obviously this is a huge work in progress and it's going to take a few months to get comfortable. We have to have a plan B and the ball over the top was it.

Willian was good. Liked Morata's hold up play! He was strong. Played the ball first time regularly. Jorginho and Kante good. Like seeing the movement of those two. Kepa is going to need time with the possession side of it with distribution. Back 4 is meh.

I think this thread just shows why Sarri is the boss instead of any of us :D

I like Barkley in this system - but then I've always had a soft spot for him from his early Everton days.

Alonso has been decent but I still don't trust him against better wingers.

Jorginho the absolute key to this team in the first half - I note his winning the ball to start the move for the first goal and him charging to pressure the keeper from a cleared Huddersfield corner.

The changes of pace from Chelsea are not an accident but strategic from Sarri, it's no coincidence that Alonso barely broke halfway for 40 minutes and then wins a penalty 8 yards from goal.

Sarri must believe that Luiz will contribute massively to beginning forward moves because as a defender he's at best our 6th choice centre half.

    We've been unspectacular but effective.

Think you see what Luiz offers with that ball over the top to Willian at the 30 minute mark. He'll likely get us destroyed at the back though as he's just too nonchalant. Think this system is made for Christensen with the high line and passing.

He seems to have picked up his performance a bit this half.

Love seeing a killer instinct. Up two and going for more. It's been a long time.

Can anyone see Barkley playing in the first team from what we have seen today?.

Sarri seems to like him more than some of the guys, anyway.
