Quick question, why is this Morelia a limited edition release with the date being honored as 1985? That year was when Mizuno football boots were called Runbird and they looked a little bit different. I am just curious considering Mizuno released a Runbird model a little while back...

Yep, in Osaka now. Was planning to visit Kishispo in shinsaibashi but plans changed. I will go there early next week but for now, I'm already set :)

i was actually considering selling them off.....then the recent blackout releases reminds me of the "sexy" black-gold KH 2 in my cabinet :)

My pair of wave ignitus 2 were up there with the best boots I ever owned. Between them, my adidas karnivores and my first pair of Morelia 2s. I wish I had stocked up on all of them more haha.

Btw I’m trying to sell two pairs of almost new morelia 2s in a US9.5 if anyone is interested :)

that's life. I've still got my Wave Ignitus 2's in the black Gold but the bladed studs are a problem on 3G.

now that Rakuten's got the 2k yen discount again I'm mega tempted to pull the trigger on that limited edition red Morelia 2's!

Super disappointed with the Rebula 1's tbh. Will do more research before deciding on the 2's. especially if they don't feel more padded than the Rebula 1s

Rebula V1 JP needs quite a number of wearings before it really soften up and mould to your foot

the launch colorway still the best, i think......

    It's been a while...

Getting back into football after a year and a bit without playing, need to get myself some new boots and rather than trying a catch up with all the 'innovations' from the likes of Nike and adidas I figured why not go back to some tried and tested Morelias! Only issue I have is knowing the best way to procure some of those MiJ badboys these days? Seem to be quite a few special releases knocking around on the likes of ProDirect and Unisport but is a helpful Rakuten seller generally still the most affordable solution? I do like the red ones that have been released but if the price is going to be massively higher than the classic black then I'm not too fussed about it.

Also, I take it the best way to get a steer on fit is the old measurement of the foot from heel to longest toe and use that for the Japanese sizing?

    welcome back Mark!

sizing, i go for 25.5 in my case of 25.3cm on the Right and 25.2 on the Left

but if you wear those padded toe and heel footy socks, u might need to consider up to 26.0 (assuming my example)

i find that a good yardstick is try on the adidas copa 17.1 (in my case a uk6.5 in the copa 17.1 feels very close to a morelia MIJ uk6.5)

email Yasuaki Hashimoto - san (contact@spsheart.com) to order......PayPal is acceptable

you can ask for JP Post Small Packet delivery service cheaper than EMS, no less efficient, almost like Royal Mail International Signed For.....tracked, but insurance covered only up to 6,000-YEN; about 7-10 days......on average

thanks for that, @carolpasa, but i've never dealt with all that before, and i'm not ready to do it now. the rep at soccer.com did say they received fewer than they anticipated so i think some peoples' orders will be filled.

i actually ordered a pair of the blackout nike tiempo legends that i'd planned on getting before the mizunos were announced. they offered me an additional 15% off since they backed out of my mizuno order so i guess i can't complain too much. between the little bit of money i made on flipping my yellow accelerators and the money i got for my precisions, i'll be a little bit ahead after i buy the nikes. all's well that ends well.
