I had to double check to see if you were right. I thought he was older than 26. Anyway, good luck to him.

This is obvious. Mexican football is slow compared to the best leagues in the world. The pressing and general pressure is no where near constant as with Euro football in Liga MX.
I'd like to see the Premier league teams press at noon in Toluca or CU. And during the afternoon in Veracruz...
These reasoning's are used over and over and it's BS. Nobody plays with urgency in Liga MX I don't care what city or what time of day. Not until Liguilla do you see the pace and pressure pick up which means the regular season pace of play is a choice.
Or you have the best teams playing each other. Thus you have better players, who don't lose the ball as often or foul as much thus making the flow of the game palatable. Don't get me wrong, there is complacency because of how crap the relegation system is and because you can turn things around midway through the season and still make the liguilla. I know its a novel concept these days, when public discourse forces one to choose from A or B in many of the hot issue debates but there can be truth in both statements.
They'd beat Tigres. And Tigres would look slow in comparison to Stoke. And if there was a return leg in an afternoon day in Monterrey. Tigres would eek out a win or get a 0-0 or 1-1 draw. With Stoke, sitting back knowing they could not play their normal game, because of the heat. They'd get a decent result because Tigres would play their slow cautious build up game, thus giving Stoke plenty of time to get their defensive positioning set. Something that is rare for them to have when playing in the Premier league.
