    Anyone remember the last Olympics? When after two matchdays, everyone in Brazil was crapping on the men's team and Neymar in particular by comparing him with Marta...fast forward to the end, the Brazilian women's team didn't even medal and the men won the long-awaited gold :D

    And don't get me wrong, I love me some Marta - her taking a dump on the US in 2007 was the best performance I've ever seen in the women's game, and I still regret her not scoring her penalty in the Final that year to possibly lead Brazil to the WWC title and cement her GOAT status.

    Turner has a ton of cable channels to show all the matches, yet they chose to stream some of them to make you pay? F that. Guess I'll stick to the Univision channels

    Also look how the US womens team got to be Germany. By going thru the same system of the 1990 US world cup team. In women soccer, it was good enough to make them 3 time World champions, in men's soccer it wasn't good enough to win them a game in the World Cup.

    The big difference being that the US women's program is up against programs in the rest of the world that are in diapers, woefully underfunded, and/or ignored by the federation heads, allowing mediocre coaches to stay well past their sell-by dates.

    I was waiting for the ""the confederations cup is more important that the World Cup" type shit but didn't see it until just now.

    And nobody is saying the are better than Germany just that they did accomplish something so that people should STFU about trying to act like it was this huge failure or even worse, than the women accomplished something bigger yesterday.

    Yeah I know. It's why in the Americas the big 3 in women soccer are US, Canada and Brazil. Two of those aren't even close.

    Like I've seen a lot about how "las mujeres ni las apoyan" without taking it to context that neither do anybody else of the countries they faced this time.

    Yeah, in an (still) amateur world, the US college system is a huge advantage.
    That's why the CONCACAF area pretty much depend on girls born or raised in the US.

    nadie dijo eso, de 10 partidos contra Alemania Mexico gana 1, empata otro y pierde 8. Este mundial toco la suerte de que ese fue el partido que se gano y despues se desperdicio esa suerte con el papelito contra Suecia, el punto es que la realidad de Mexico en comparacion a Alemania fue lo de la confederaciones, no lo hace un mes.
