Yes he runs fast and jumps high and is big and strong, but the team is going to move in the direction of passing in tight spaces and all of his "skills" become worthless. He is good at headers, but not the best in the world. Moreover we did endless crossing in years past to capitalize on the BBC's strengths but I don't see the team playing that way anymore.
Yet you're in the other thread arguing we should also sell the guy who's really good at this. Go figure.
If Bale could use both feet, stay fit, and stop chasing coaches out of the club I might like him. In fact I did like him again for about 15 minutes in May. I don't trust either of these guys for a whole season minus Ronaldo. If the idea is have Benzema compete with Kroos and Isco for a spot in midfield, we still need a forward. If the idea is to play Benzema as a "9" or "false 9" we still need a new forward. The problem is nobody will sign for us as long as he is here because they know as long as he can stand he will start. See Mbappe. Also see France for a glimpse of life post Benzema. Bale is Bale. Ditto Benzema. 3CL and 4 in 5 years. They are perfect and can't be improved on. I would bet good money that we don't win another CL or La Liga until both of them are gone.
But you literally wrote you wanted Benzema sold. And here Bale. And yet, you provide no alternatives in a market that is dry as a desert for forwards.
Yet if he could stay healthy and keep producing what he has in between the injuries, we wouldn’t be having this discussion.
True and that's because he was benched because he was injured many times and he was given a lot of chances to play on the account of better formed players and usually ended up failing badly. Bale's biggest thing is that somehow (talent or luck) he manage to score the important goals. he certainly has talent, he's athletic, super fast and can shoot, but I've also seen him very afraid of tackling and getting tackled, especially in the last year. if this continues this year, he should only blame himself and his injury prune body for getting benched. regardless of all this, I still don't see how you create a whole formation with Bale as 9. unless we're going to sit back and play the offside rule, and allow his speed to pass the defense, I just don't see him transferred into a traditional 9.
Real Madrid want Bale to take over from Cristiano Ronaldo http://www.marca.com/en/football/real-madrid/2018/07/27/5b5a21cc22601d6d508b464e.html
He is going to have his best season yet. I have no doubt. He is eager to prove himself as a top 5 player.
1. His stats when healthy are great, so that remark makes no sense. 2. His injury history is poor, of which im sure Lopetegui is aware of and will rotate accordingly. 3. With Isco likely an every week starter as well, expect us to possess more of the ball, which means less 70 yard counter attacks, meaning less strain on Bale muscular issues. 4. Show some damn optimism. He's going to be our main man and top goal scorer whether you like it or not.

Since then he has had over 10 injuries to add to this. I think this speaks for itself in regards to basing any kind of sporting project around Bale.
You think he was spending one third of a season on the medical table for five years because he was not as eager to prove himself as a top 5 player during this time? Also, how is exactly Bale going to be the central piece if we will rotate him all the time to keep him from getting injured, and how is he going to be useful if there are not going to be 70 yard counter attacks when he plays?
Bale's major problem is the calf muscle tear in the 2015/2016 season (Ronaldo also got injured in that season, but we got very lucky with the timing). He has had an injury in that area for the following two seasons since then.
I know. Nothing against him but it's unrealistic and foolish to depend on him based on that alone. Tactically, I also don't see where he fits in with the possession tiki taka type football Lopetegui wants to play.
Funny thing is these same posters begging for him to stay will be first ones in here moaning about him sitting home in hes hot tub again.I cant believe were going into another fresh season with him and benz once again its just flat out delusional.
I don't think anyone is begging for him to stay, at least not on RMBS but i do feel like we should keep him, i mean do we even have a choice? No one has shown interest for him apart from United and those rumors vanished quickly. I would have liked to cash in on him but it looks like he's staying and there's not much we can do except hope that he doesn't get injured (often) and support him. I wouldn't rely on him though and i wouldn't build a gameplan around him. I can see him scoring 30 goals this season if he can keep his 2017/18 season fitness.
He was our 2nd highest goal scorer last season with 21 goals in all comps and thats despite having an injury in the first half of the season and not having Zizou'a trust in the second half of the season. I think 30 goals is certainly feasible this season, if not higher. He will have the most shots every game he plays.
Yes you are right just annoyed that these two are getting another chance yet again and people are expecting different results. The time to sell him was season or two ago when united were really interested in buying him but then they went and got sanchez on that ridiclous contract/wages and bale got injured again for long stretch and now it seems they had enough of hes injuries.
