Keep him around all you want, just don't have him as the only option or locked in starter up top. Bring in someone to challenge him fully and let the best man win. For a club who always strives for the best he's been given a lot of extra rope. Just hope that changes this summer, even though there are no Mbappes around.

This simple really, people wanted rid of Casillas, Raul, all sorts of great players when they were not delivering consistently but still had good “moments”, it’s about the now, not what he did 3 years ago, I can rejoice in what he did 3 years ago if he retires or leaves the team, but if he stays here I want him to deliver with more consistency right now.

As noted already, IMO the only way Benz should stay on this team now is if he accepts real competition for his spot or a bench role, he can come off the bench in those important games to see if he can deliver a special moment as is his norm nowadays,

I am quite tired of watching him slouch through the majority of the season though, two seasons of that is enough for me, no matter what he’s done in the past, or how good he was for a few moments in a one off game here and there

    He'll be back next season.
Will continue to look super bad in "regular" la Liga games and score some important goals in the 2-3 important CL games.
I've long come to conclusion that if we can utilize a real striker for la Liga games and let benzema play CDR and CL, we will be all set.

Keep Benzema, get him some world class competition.

I want La Liga this season, honestly i don't care if we crash out of UCL in the group stages, and for that we need more consistency from everyone, Karim included.

Me too, although with all the changes we are ( maybe) going through that might be a stretch , but I am hoping for the best, really hoping we start strong

Real Madrid have won 4 Champions League within 5 seasons, which is nothing short but an absolutely outrageous achivement. This squad is made for winning the most prestigious competition in club football and RM should still continue with prioritising Champions League above everything else. The likes of Sergio Ramos, Marcelo, Keylor Navas etc. brings their A-game whereas RM have currently 2 of top 4 all-time UCL top scorers.

Barcelona have won LaLiga + CdR and almost had a unbeaten league run, but these are been overshadowed by that embarrassing exit from UCL by fecking AS Roma. Most culés on various of forum would have rather win UCL to stop RM's dominance in the tournament rather than a domestic title. Luis Suárez has delivered a grand total of 4 goals in 20 UCL-games for the past 2 seasons. For comparision, Benzema has scored 5 goals in 9 UCL-games from this season alone. Never mind that Messi, Pique, Alba, Rakitic etc. have been pretty underwhelming in UCL KO stage.

RM aren't build for winning LaLiga anyway, only 2 league titles have the club won for the past 10 years. It's much more wiser to continue the dominance in UCL while the likes of Cristiano, Sergio Ramos, Marcelo, Benzema, Modric, Bale (if he stays) are still here.

He won't be consistent. He's already past his prime, and he wasn't consistent even then.

If Ronaldo is going, Benzema is the first one who should follow. What was good about him these years is that he provided the fluidity in the offensive game to compensate for the soloist goalscorer playing from the left wing. If Ronaldo is gone, that won't be necessary anymore. This is the last opportunity to receive a good fee for him, and it doesn't make sense to me to keep someone with his name and salary on the bench as a backup player. Its insulting also to him, a player who has won four CLs as a starter.

Oh right because Bale didn't come out and scored twice, one being a wonder goal or that Bale didn't score in 2014 final giving is the most important La Decima, or that Bale has better goal ratio than Benz even though he is a winger. Right....

Benzama was terrible this season, all we will remember is 2 comedy goals.

Do you even know what makes a legend? Zidane wonder goal in 2002, Bale wonder goal in 2018, consistency (something Benz doesnt have) and pure skill. Can you tell me to my face Benzama is better than Bale? Now im laughing REALLY HARD LOL

If Ronaldo goes it will be a disaster to stay with a 30 year old Benzama. Last season we fail La Liga hard and Copa del Rey, we lucked out only is CL. We need new big signing but no Neymar please.

There is only one player in the world that can surpass what Messi and Ronaldo did, and that is a big MAYBE. It is... Mbappe. Neymar can never do it since he is 26 and living in the shadow of Messi Ronaldo for many years. Only the 19 year old wonder kid Mbappe can get close. He just need to leave weaker french league.

Bale is such an odd case.
Being injured more than 50% of your time in a club, and still being significant in so many finals and important matches.
CdR 2014 final goal was historic.
Cl 2014 scores the winner. Cl 16 assists. Cl 18 scores another historic goal.

Benzema is the one with most range of ability to compliment a more possession oriented side. I'd keep him for sure and hope competition brings out his best. But we need serious overall in attack.

Agreed just as long as he is not guaranteed a starting spot no matter what, and he is comfortable if he has to sit on the bench, and that he has proper competition for his spot, not a player like Mayoral, no disrespect meant

At this point we need a striker that will finish chances rather than contribute to the buildup and complement a wing scorer. Thats what the 4-2-3-1 is about. Time to say goodbye to Karim.

Nice explanation. GTFO? You known a lot about football. Maybe you didnt see that Bayern dominated Madrid? We only passed after the comedy Bayern GK mistake. Maybe next season Karius can come back and pass the ball to Benzama again! LOL

How people are so clueless. If not for the comedy goals Madrid dont win anything last season and people would be angry, but they won CL. Thank you Karius! Never mind Benzemas horrible season -_-

Oh wow amazing lol. Maybe we actually won because of having the best midfield in the world called Luka Modric, or maybe the best player in the history RONALDO, or maybe it was superstar BALE. Maybe the talent that is Isco and Asensio!

Madrid now have no Ronaldo. The current team has very low chance to win anything. Benzema up front? We going to score a lot of goals!!! LMAO. Nobody in the world would put Benzema ahead of better strikers like Suarez, Cavani, Kane. Even Mariano is better than Benz! Morata had better goal ratio! BENZAMA IS NOT EVEN TOP 10 STRIKER IN THE WORLD.

Time to sign talent up front cuz with Benzeflop next season we are going to get creamed by Barca and all big teams.

We have dominated the club football like no other team has ever done. We are good.
We will sign the players we need and we will be lucky when we need to be. Don't worry.

Benzema has been trained to play and think in terms of making Ronaldo better for almost a decade. He was made well aware that is his role. It is futile to think that he will turn into alpha now with a killer mentality and suddenly will start burying chances, at the wrong side of 30, and with a history of injuries that have stripped him of his athleticism.

Mind you this athleticism was only sufficient for Madrid level even at his prime, and he was always a terrible goal poacher. Scoring good looking goals here and there is a good thing, but with Ronaldo gone now we will need someone who can score ugly goals, and a lot of them.

Time to go hunting with a CAT :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:.

Give Benzema a chance. He won't score 30 goals but I think force into a situation where he has to take responsibility, he may just give us 15 or so goals. Is that enough? not by a long shot but it does go some way to whittling down that massive gap left by Ronaldo.
