I like this. I hope this is true. That our bids are in the region of 100-120M with incentives. That's the price at which Hazard is a good deal. Chelsea hoping for 150M is OK. This will drag on a couple of weeks and Hazard will then put pressure on them and the deadline closing in England early means we'll sign him for something close to what we want rather than what they want.

    I hope this is true.

We lost Morata, Mariano, James and could not replace the goals scored by them.

Now we lost the greatest goal scorer ever and yet we dont have any substantial reports linking us to any competent striker.

Am pretty sure the new direction is boring to death tiki taka.

None of the realistic options are a clear cut no brainer though. Even my choice (Lewandowski) has red flags which some of you have brought up. I mean I can see what you all are saying. Cavani is not a guarantee of goals as he misses sitters at the same rate as Benzema. Icardi is...…… well you all have spoken of his limitations and issues. Kane is too expensive and not worth the money. Werner is unproven and has a lot of bust potential. Rashford is a good move if he comes for cheap. Low risk kinda move. But United will surely ask for the moon if not slamming the phone on us completely. Morata probably doesn't want to come back and we probably don't want him back. What others realistic forwards am I missing?

If it was up to me i'd take the chance on Lewandowski who seems to me to be as sure a guarantee of goals as any of the options available. But I understand the trepidation about the price and Bayern will surely fleece us.

Lewandowski + Hazard + Vin. Does that not give you a lot of hope for next season? Fixes pretty much all of the problems we see in our attack currently.

The coming days there are planned meetings, also with the entourage of Hazard, but for the time being Chelsea is still not prepared to let its sporting and commercial banner move to Madrid. And Real currently seems reluctant to write a world record sum - read more than 225 million euros - for the Belgian. There will have to be negotiated firmly. Hazard, who knows what he can earn at Real, hopes that the dream transfer will come. He would like to go to Spain.

I imagine Hazard will put a lot of pressure on them and he has been there long enough that he can ask Abramovich to let him go to his dream club. 200M fee. Lmao. Never happens. That kind of number is for mega super stars like Neymar, Mbappe and of course Kane for whom 200M is a bargain.

Getting really frustrated with this now, the squad is massively weaker than last season and we scraped to 3rd in the league. What are we fighting for now? 4rd place?

We are literally going to turn into Arsenal at this rate. Are we really going to haggle over 25 million or whatever? Just get it done. Hazard+Icardi+Courtois. Done.

A large part of why Courtois wants to come to Madrid is that his family is still there.

So Chelsea won't let Courtois go because they haven't found a replacement yet.

We on the other hand sell Ronaldo without even having a clue about who the replacement will be. Laughable.

As the days have gone by, I've become a bit less worried.

Many of you are certain of not trusting Bale anymore, but i think the club feels we need to give him a chance without Ron to prove he can be the man. Not to mention Isco is of the age that if we dont start him every week, it will start giving us problems.

Ill be happy if we get Hazard but i still believe getting a 9 is more important. Asensio Vinicius and Lucas is enough depth out wide imo. Kovacic Ceballos and Llorente is enough depth in the midfield as well

    Stats for keepers are pointless.
They dont really capture the quality or the difficulty of the saves, which is most important

Not really sure there is much sense selling Benzema at this point.

Sounds like we’ve reached a dead lock on Hazard. Either he starts applying pressure on Roman very soon, or let’s consider him another one that we missed out on and dump him in the Pogba, Mbappe, Neymar bucket.
When it’s all said and done, I’ll be intrigued to see who these “magnificent signings” that Perez has promised will be, let’s hope not Odriozola...

If Jr is staying in Madrid I think we should focus on a striker, I like the signing but it's surplus considering the squad as it's currently constructed. I do think we need a player able to run at the defense with pace but again with Jr staying it's a waste of money.

We struggled with goals last season too. Basically, Ronaldo was suffering goal drought until we played against PSG. He disappeared after his bicycle kick against Juventus. It is an issue that we should look into with or without Ronaldo.

Even before Morata went to Juventus, I always argued that he is the only good young classic #9 striker left in the world. He is that specific type of player. In a few years, he would be the only one left, I often said. Okay, we got Kane in the market, but he is a 200 million or more target because he is basically the only good and young one left in the world.

Kane for 200 million???? Suddenly, I realise..... never mind. I have strange thoughts in my head. ::(

I still don't understand why we're going after Hazard and not someone like Dybala. Similar playing style, but more goals, and can play the 9.

And it should be easier to negotiate with Juventus as compared to Chelsea because they have many attacking options: Mandu, Costa, Bernadeschi,Ronaldo. He is younger too.

Agree re Dybala. I'm not even sure he'd cost more than Hazard.
