Two excellent World Cups, and the best he could do is backup at Malaga

no tener pasaporte comunitario reduce sus chances de poder quedarse en europa , es raro que un club apueste por un portero sin pasaporte comunitario prefieren delanteros o mediocampistas

It will be a crime if he doesn't get a good offer this time. I would seriously fire my agent if that happens.

I highly disagree. The amount of nat youth tournaments doesn’t really differentiate from let’s say France, who play the Toulon tournament, u21 euro tourney and qualifiers, u20 World Cup for the u20 age group. The difference is the French coaches usually aren’t shit and actually give young players playing time

Unless France are playing a huge number of useless youth tournaments in between these, you’re wrong. Pachuca has players in some Central American cup thing right now. Those players should be training with the main squad. When a young player skips preseason with his club squad the chances of him being in form to get some minutes later on aren’t high.

I think Pachuca is the one team who you can’t criticize their youth program.

But I agree more integration versus other youth tournaments. I think the Lainez call was good because I don’t anticipate Piojo being any less stubborn than he has been.

Simple as this. If the club had any intentions of using the player they wouldn’t let him go to a youth tournament. Alvarado played last month but isn’t going to these games because Cruz Azul didn’t allow him seeing how they plan on playing him. America considered not letting Lainez go due to injuries to their players but let him anyways.

This isn’t even the issue. Players who are consistently playing with their teams shouldn’t be going, period. I’m saying the bench and marginal players shouldn’t be going either. And even though the rules here are murky, I doubt clubs are allowed to withhold all of these players. And even if they were technically allowed, there are probably some sort of repercussions or at least leverage held by the federation to make sure some of them are released. From how I’ve watched Marco Garcés speak on the topic, it doesn’t sound like they always have a choice in the matter.

I personally think anything past U17 should be a platform for Ascenso, Segunda, and U20 division players to showcase their skills. No one on a main first division squad should be called.

    No Ochoa transfer news...as expected.

What does he have to do to get noticed? He had a great world cup. What is about Memo that teams keep passing on him?
