So as it stands we have

    Kroos Casemiro Modric
    Bale Benzema Isco

With Asensio, Vinicius, Lucas, Kovacic, Borja and Llorente as backups

    Not enough quality imo

The club certainly thinks so, and saw this coming before we did. That's why they've been investing heavily in young talent. Look at the players we've signed recently in Asensio, Vallejo, Theo, Ceballos, Vinicius, Rodrygo, Lunin.

Looks to be a barren year if we don't sign high quality players; similar to how it was towards the end of Perez's first tenure and Calderon's tenure [apart from the Liga].

Not sure how this club operates sometimes; we seem to love giving away quality players for cheap [ie. James, Arjen Robben, Makelele, Sneijder, etc.]

What do you guys think about Depay? I know he failed at United but he ended last season an a high. He can play as a Striker and he loves Madrid. He was playing exceptionally well as striker towards the end of season. We can use him as LW/ST backup. He should not be very expensive either.

Yeah I agree, I enjoy their content and all for the most part but they definitely have their favourites. Benz scores 5 league goals all campaign and they barely have any criticism for it.

I believe they were gushing over Isco after the CL final which wasn’t even close to one of his better games.

Good product for the most part yeah but they need to find some balance.

I think creativity is under appreciated but think this coach can help a lot with that. Biggest issue is a CF. Few names and scarce availability.

The next Ronaldo ain't walking through that door anytime soon. We just need to continue building a highly competitive squad and that means adding talent when it's available and the need is there. Right now, we have the youngsters in tow, we need some big time performers or at least players who've tasted big games and are ready for the next step. I'll never advocate for wasting money, but the market is crazy and the club has to adjust.

We're probably not gonna take the world by storm yet. But watching Lopetegui and the youngsters training alongside our veterans had a calming effect. I'll just trust in Lopetegui. Btw he was outstanding with Spain, imagine what he'll do with talented players who he can see everyday and build a dynasty with.

Vinicius, Asensio, Ceballos and Vallejo are still young, but if we accelerate their growth by giving them more chances at the expense of winning all the time, so be it. I don't expect Real Madrid to dominate each and every game anyways, and my expectations have been lowered. We aren't replacing 60+ goals with the kinda money we're looking to spend anyways, so I'll consider us lucky if we can replace 3/4ths of that.

Btw, James is represented by Cristiano's agent Mendes's agency, Gestifute. Idk if they're too keen on letting James come back given now that we told them to f off with Cristiano's demands. Maybe it's more beneficial for them if James stays, who knows. For all we can tell, it's just another attempt for Mendes to drive up James's value so he can command a bigger wage from Bayern.

When 200 ME doesn't get you your target, you might as well save it for another summer. Especially given the only achievable target probably isn't worth that. PSG really shit on the market. Fncking asshats. I like them for swiping Neymar from Barca, but other than that...they're annoying.

Modric and Ramos are amazing captains. With those guys as the skipper of this ship, we're not sinking any time soon. Vamos equipo!

The sad thing is he probably won't be a bad shout but Manchester United, like they have done with many players, have ruined his reputation so extremely unlikely we'll go for him.

I think we have to look at Liverpool and Salah transfer to Liverpool. He was doing great at Roma but many people overlooked him because he was at Roma.

We have the midfield and fullbacks to support a decent attack. We don't need a mega star to replace Ronaldo, just one attacking midfielder and one striker and we should be set.

Griezmann and Dybala could be available next summer. Griezmann's wife prefers to live in Madrid. 200 ME for him next summer sounds better than breaking WR for Hazard. Griez is a better goalscorer.

I’d rather have Hazard than Griezmann, who’s qualities would do wonders for our team. Griezmann is impossible anyway.

They didn’t wanna work under Ancelotti that’s why, anyway players like Robben & Ribéry are old regardless!

If a player's career gets tarnished once, he is never going to be considered for Madrid regardless of his bounceback. I love Depay's talent, but hes a pipe dream, and I dont think we intend to replace Ronaldo with a similar wing scorer (unless its Neymar). We will probably go with Isco or Asensio on the left.

Martial is a decent player, should be cheap if last year on contract. He could play as a no9

Either one of Depay or Martial can be considered. No Galacticos are available at the moment. We need to look at players who are ready to take that next leap in their careers. There is no point in spending 225 mil on Hazard. Rather spend 80 mil on Martial and try to get any half decent striker for 100 mil.

Isn't Martial on his final year of his contract? 80m sounds too much.

I'm ok with Martial for depth but having him as a starter? Hell no.

It would be a gamble but one I think we can afford to take. In terms of pure strikers, there is no one available. All the news around Icardi at the moment is about him signing a new contract with Inter Milan.

My hopes for getting Dybala have dramatically faded after realising there is no way Juventus will sell him after buying Ronaldo.

Lewandowski and Cavani are options but Bayern definitely don't want to sell and if PSG are okay letting Cavani go so they can move Mbappe central, age and price is a big turn off.

The league with seemingly the best attacking talent at the moment is Ligue-1. If Dybala is a no go, give me Depay with Fekir, Thauvin or Martial.

Martial is only 22 and is on the last year of his contract. He did well under Van Gaal, I think it's a worth risk taking since Man United have Sanchez to play next to Lukaku. He has more chance to play in our team.
