I’m pretty neutral about who wins although it’d been cool if Croatia wins to be a great example that inhabitants in a country doesn’t matter that much if football’s a culture
Could he even see the ball? and fricking no one handballs like that on purpose in their own box at least not in harmless situations like that
Totally agree. The usa announcers all think its a penalty, but I dont see how you give that. Only 3 minutes of stoppage time is a joke too.
His arm was in the definition of a natural motion while jumping. Plus he had no chance to see that ball coming.
Guus Hidink at halftime says its not a penalty in his opinion. How are you supposed to jump with your arms behind your back now? Defending in the box would be impossible if they call penalties for that every time.
That being said, I do like France but if they win the WC like this, it’s not hard to say that they definitely have had a bit of luck this WC however Pavard looks highly average to me one shot and now everyone wants him...?
He’s a CB playing as RB, but as a Bayern fan I’d rather give our own youth a chance than spend money on him.
even as a CB he's not that exceptional and same with me I want to see Mai and company breakthrough over him. Why take a young player from outside when you have your own within the club? Makes having an Academy pointless. I do agree that they need to adjust the rules for what is handball in the box, too many soft PK happen.
With an own goal and a penalty via the VAR, the final is a fair representative of the tournament as a whole.
This game has suddenly become so much more lively. Slurry of Croatian chances,Mbappe's break and an intruder dressed as a band master.
It seems like only Germany ever gets criticized for winning ugly. When everyone else does its smart football, or individual class.
