    So what?
I'm not saying Italy has quality enough to be there either. ;)

Just because my country is not in the WC this year, it doesn't take my right to give my opinion (or to tell the truth actually).

The best teams I've seen playing in this WC are France and Brazil.

Well done Croatia. They deserved it in the end. Closing down our defenders at pace caused them to give the ball away too often.

I don't think FIFA's instructions to referees to avoid booking players has done this tournament any favours. It led to more fouling and dirty play. Not saying that would have been enough to change this result today.

Still proud of the team as they played to the best of their ability. At least I won't have a hangover tomorrow!

Euro 2016 Portugal manages to win the Euros after getting into the easiest Bracket in Euro history facing 3 mediocre teams in the r16 , QF and Semi then somehow beating France in the final

World Cup 2018 Croatia ..... well you know the rest

Yes. Most of England’s golden generation is barely out of nappies. Belgium and Croatia, this is the last hurrah for them.

First half, Croatia played like a bunch of zombies and they came back alive in the 2nd half and ET...Do FIFA perform some kind of doping test or not? Or "what happens in Russia stays in Russia"...lol..reminding me of 7 time Tour De France champion Lance Armstrong...

Exactly. It also wouldn't surprise me if Croatia beat France and win this WC, even having an average quality team. (just saying, I actually support Croatia, but being honest, you expect more from a team that goes to final.)

A final match is a final match, they will play like never played. Everything can happen.

-There was a penalty not given to Croatia in the end of the 1st half. Whatever happened to VAR...?

    -Extra times are inhumane.

-Luka Modric, modern times Johann Cruyjff, hope he lifts the cup as the great player he is. He even makes Real Madrid likeable!

Croatia might not have household superstars at every position but what they do have is one of the best midfields in the world... a solid defence.. and they play with heart and as much of a unit as any team out there. If any of you know any croatians in life... they are among the most patriotic people and they would die for their country. They leave that all out on the pitch all the time and its hard not to admire.

For the record, assuming the relative sizes have been roughly similar, Sweden and Hungary both come in around 9 million and Czech rep + Slovakia is 15 million.

Dude. This Croatian roster is stacked. Few are the top European teams without a Croatian starter. They’re legit

Yeah, unfortunately, that patriotism hasn’t always been so pleasant, sad to say. But then patriotism often isn’t

Croatia fully deserves to be in the final. Stop the nonsense. They had a pretty tough group. Not a cake walk by any means. Yes, Denmark should have been a pushover, but Russia was playing their hearts out at home. Not easy beating the home team in a WC.

Tonight Croatia showed their class in the end. The English can come back down to earth and can evaluate where they have to get better. They possess a lot of great athletes with speed, but they clearly are missing quality in the midfield and upfront to finish plays off. I'm not saying they are a bunch of brick feet, but they need some more players with better touch and skill.

I think Croatia has played much better than Brazil in this WC.

But I agree that France has got to be the favorite against Croatia, though much less a favorite than if it was against England.

Many of them know people who died for their country. Or at least know of people who did. Those wars are recent history. It is a young country. Of course they are proud and give all for their nation. I wish them well.

For the game Croatia showed us today, yes, they deserved.
But it was not like this in other games.

Genuine question, apart from the Argentina game, when has Croatia actually shone in this World Cup? I'm not saying they don't deserve to win it all, because at the end of the day they've done enough to reach the final and if they do win they most certainly will deserve it. They have great players and one if not the best player in the world at the moment in Modric.

With that being said, I don't think this team has been brilliant in anyway. Argentina went into desperation mode as soon as Croatia scored 1-0 so the result there was a bit more flattering even if I thought that was their best game all tournament. I hope Croatia can beat France to win this, but I still think my question earlier regarding whether it's one or possibly the worst side based on performances to reach a World Cup final is valid.
