Great decision on the penalty, and there was always going to be one. Embarrassing that it was allowed to take 3 minutes before it was taken though.
I know we all want to see someone cautioned for dissent or delay after the PK call but he has to give them a ton of leeway there.
For all we say about great referees creating an entertaining game, the lengthy delay between the call and the PK being taken looked so bad. That said, I'm not sure what else he could do other than card Falcao and company which may not have made things better. WWÇD?

Misses and/or ignores pretty obvious VC by Sanchez. Now misses and/or ignores what looked like pretty obvious SFP by Stones. Allows incessant shoving, whining, and other tomfoolery at just about every restart. I wouldn't say that's nailing it.
