Gomes has not been great for Barca but was quite good at Valencia (what got him a move to Barca). Given his age (25 next month) and Barca's valuation (40m Euro) I'd rather go after someone else.

Rabiot is rumored to be leaving PSG. Might cost a bit more and he is a bit of a drama queen but he is much better.

Golovin is on the move due to his WC performance. He is young (22) and athletic enough to be a CM/CAM/LW/RW super sub.

Kovacic is rumored to be looking for more minutes. He is a bit younger and has generally performed well when called upon.

Ziyach is rumored to want a move with Ajax said to be willing to listen to an ofer over 30m Euro. Similar to Golovin in that he can play CM/CAM/LW/RW and also had a strong showing at the WC.

Zielinski is another CM/CAM/LW/RW guys. Has more speed than Golovin or Ziyach. Believe he plays CM/CAM for Napoli but plays LW/RW for Poland. Release clause is supposed to be around 50m Euro.

I'm a bit confused as to why we are after another CM. Apparently we have had a bid turned down for N'Zonzi.

    We have..

Ramsey,Xhaka,ElNeny, AMN, Torreira (assuming). That's 5 players for two positions. This must mean Ozil will be on the wing.

    -----------------Auba/Lacazette--------

    Ozil/Welb--------------Mikhitarian/Iwobi

    ---------Ramsey/Other CM-----------

    ----Xhaka/ElNeny----Torreira/AMN

I think rumors concerning Gomes are legit....
I think Emery is looking to completely rework the midfield

Arsenal have been linked with nearly every available midfielder, and some that aren't available, Golovin, Forsberg, Meyer, Rabiot, Banega, and N'Zonzi, among others and now Gomes. Gomes may be the least credible and least desirable link.

Marca saying today that Banega is going to reject our offer.

    I don't want N'Zonzi.

Can't help but wonder if Banega's lack of interest is based on concern with playing time, meaning Ramsey stays.

Claims today that Gelson Martins has agreed a deal with Atletico. If true, we need to pounce on Angel Correa. They are supposed to be adding Lemar & Martins. Gonna have a glut of wingers and Correa is likely odd man out. His current contract expires next summer. May be very beneficial to play things out and sign him to a pre-contract in Jan.

They need to sort this Ramsey thing out before the WC ends. Otherwise all hell might break loose when the dominos start to fall.

At this point I don’t care if he stays or goes. Just tired of it lingering.

What do you guys think of Diego Laxalt of Uruguay. He seems to be handling Mbappe well.

His hair grosses me out a lot.

I don't have anything to say about his ability; that hair is just ********in weird. Looks like a "woke" white lady on her way back from a Jamaican vacation.

Not always 100% accurate but sofifa.com says he is a FA. The MB over there has some chatter about him signing for Benfica to play LM/LWB in a 3-4-3.

If Ornstein is correct all of the links to N'Zonzi, Gomes, etc... are bogus. Could still see a bigger name youth player that gets used for depth I suppose but I interpret his note to mean the only other signings will be U21 types.

to be honest, i would like to see ramsey stay. i realise he is far from amazing but i feel like the talent is there and i would love to see how he does with a coach who is going to give him some formation structure.

Absolutely. Build the system around Ramsey and use Ozil off the wing where he's free.

Has talent, can make great passes and can finish. But has been in a team with pretty average defensive structures and a team that hasn't had a great defensive mid that could cover him since Gilberto.

Very good player, three lungs type engine, good 1vs1, and gets forward really fast. Good left foot. Baller.

I think he would be a nice option at LB. Nacho will soon start to deteriorate and we could use more competition there in case kolasinac doesnt work out.
