I guess I'm happy that for as bad as the Rapids have been for as long as they have, there's never been a fan movement like that. We may dislike certain players (see Mike Da Fonte last year or Deklan Wynne this year) but there's complaining about players and then there's getting personal.
Been there.. Done that. Well, not to the point of wishing him dead, but a certain segment of the Sounders fanbase really disliked Brad Evans. Primarily for the high crime of being an average player in an otherwise above average offensive line-up. He was also a jack of all trades, master of none and Sigi liked to plug him in all over the field whenever players needed rest, were injured, or suspended. As a result, you'd have a steep drop-off from the player he was replacing. Fortunately, there were other segments of the fanbase that would push back on the haters and Evans is just an all around likable guy. By the end, there were more than a few people that were upset to see Brad leave for SKC and are hoping he comes back when his career is over. Speaking of which, looks like his t-shirt is back up for sale.
